Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe photos are deceptive, and I don’t appreciate that. The bathroom needs to be cleaned after each guest… The shower is not much more than a hose connecting to the faucet. The bathroom door does not close, which was annoying — the doorframe does not line up with the lock. The ventilation in the room is quite poor, even with the AC at full power. This is a double-edged sword: the room gets musty and smells a bit like humidity, but the odor of cigarette smoke from the hallway doesn’t enter either. Even though other options were more expensive, I still feel like I paid a good amount for this accommodation and deserved a better maintained room. If you have other options, I would recommend choosing them; but if you don’t, like in my case, you will still have a fine experience at the beautiful sun-moon lake while staying here.
The Shuishe location is great—except the single room is not actually where the check-in desk in the photos is, it is in an alley nearby that does not look like anything like a hotel, much less a resort. Compared to other options, this property is among the cheapest, and you get what you pay for: no-frills check-in, a bed, towels, blanket, etc. A young budget traveler probably would not mind given the price. I was worried about the strength of the air conditioning from other reviews, but it was actually great. Same for the cleanliness of sheets/towels—seemed fine. The bathroom wasn’t as great, but what can you do.

SingaporeI wanted to book near ita thao, which u can conveniently walk around and have some taiwan street food. staff wasn't friendly and wasn't too keen on chatting more. this area of sun moon lake is a dead town, everything closes by 7pm. room was old and not renovated, there was dust near the refrigerator when u sit down on the floor, no stools or chairs are being provided.it's like the kind of 1970 oldies room. toilet wasn't clean, the sheets was dirty. had a strong cigarettes smell which kept wavering into my room. yet they claim, smoking is not allowed in the room
economical price given it was a Friday and Saturday stay.

NetherlandsThis is not a resort. The room was small, but got everything we needed. I found it annoying that we did not have a proper curtain. The staff was not talkative but did help with our scooter. It was a bit noisy in the night.
The location is pretty good for starting your Sun Moon Lake trip. Stores are in the same street. We could only check in at 3, but we could leave our luggage at the reception.

Hungary- Before the booking date I received an alarming message with instructions to click on a suspicious link to provide card details, in order to confirm the booking. I replied to challenge this request, did not receive any response. I was already in the area few days before, so I visited the hotel and was told I have to pay cash now, when I asked if I could pay on the day they said no. When I went back to pay and asked for a receipt the staff member first told me it’s not needed, upon insisting he’d start to make faces. - The horror came on the booking day, the room was not in the same building where I checked in but in a small alley. The room was horrible, it’s one thing not to have a window but this felt like a box with the low ceiling. The smell was so terrible I had to buy air freshener to be able to stand it for one night. The worst thing was the lcl of cleanliness… everything was so dirty, in the bathroom they left a 1/4 toilet roll full of mould. Unfortunately everything else was fully booked due to the festival and I had to stay in this town to catch the bus early next morning. Booking.com should pay more attention on the properties listed, it’s unacceptable to pay for something like this, there should be basic standards…
Did not like anything about this property, but the location was great!

TaiwanThey can only change $1,000 below per night. No wonder no one wants to travel in and to Taiwan. DEFINITELY OVERPRICED!!!!!!!!!!!! So old , no extra space in the room. They use old beautiful photos to cheat tourists, reality is totally not true, bad service, bad rooms, bad everything.
Nothing, it’s a huge scam. Literally two beds and a bathroom. The room is super small, we can’t believe how small it is when we open the door. The price they charge we expect it’s a hotel, but it’s only a tiny room. We were super upset and uncomfortable.

AustriaThere's room for improvement in all respects, but it's acceptable for the price, and if you cannot get a better deal.
The Solo Business Room is tiny, including the bath room, smallest room I've ever stayed in, but enough for just sleeping there, and you get everything you need in that respect (water refill, shared fridge, AC including heating, hairdryer, TV...). It's conveniently located, and worth considering, if you don't expect much.
