Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesYou could stay all day at this resort. The staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet had great selections of items. Highly recommend rooms with private hot springs. We had a great time at this resort.

Australiaguest laundry would have been nice. It also wasn't apparent when we booked that our room was in the Japanese building. We were travelling with friends whose rooms had been allocated in the other building and it was a bit of a nuisance that we were not in the same building. Maybe the hotel could consider giving guests a walking map of places to visit in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Nice location. Breakfast buffet was great. Spa on the balcony was great

SingaporeIt was a pity that the weather was bad as it rained so much and was so foggy, we couldn't see the beautiful scenery around. As such, we couldn't enjoy the outdoor hot spring.
Indoor hot spring was clean and as it was crowded we enjoyed much privacy

United Arab EmiratesIt’s probably because we went in the off-peak season, but aside from the actual hot springs there is not too much to do at the resort, especially not when traveling as a family. This was currently solved as hoc by the staff organizing a tour to the source of the hot springs and showing us the town nearby. These activities were greatly appreciated, but are not offered as ‘standard’. The place has huge potential, especially as an addition to any trip to Taipei.
The staff is what makes the place! As we did not come to the resort with our own transportation, the secluded location significantly limited the activities that we could do. The staff went above and beyond to suggest and facilitate activities.

Taiwan1. The room's central heating needs to enhancement. 2. I suggest that you should buy some food to eat when you return to the resort in the evening,
1. The clerks are nice and willing to answer any questions. 2. There are several hot spring areas at the resort. 3. The parking space and breakfast are great. 4. I like a room with a view and a hot spring.

SingaporeI was a little far as it is on the other side of Yang Ming Shan, so we need to book transportation to get there and out.
We love that there is a hotspring bathtub in our room. We had a very good time just chilling and having our baths in the room with the sulphur spring water. We also like the buffet dinner, they gave good portion of seafood and many things to eat. Best is the free flow of beer.

SingaporeLimited F&B options and the remote location of the hotel does not help. Need to either wait for the public bus to arrive according to bus schedule or you need to spend money to hire a cab to travel around.
Buffet breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food. Buffet dinner was also above average even though this is the only F&B option available in the entire hotel premise. Previously there was a Khan restaurant but that has closed and replaced by a cafe offering snacks and Starbucks drinks. Outdoor hot spring facilities are still available but can see the aging signs.

United StatesThe location is a bit remote so there aren't a lot of food options that are close by. It also would have been great to have more indoor hot spring options available; in cold / rainy December, we mostly used our in-room hot spring since it was so cold outside, and there is only one public hot spring option that is indoors.
The in-room hot spring was a highlight—a truly relaxing and unique experience! Highly recommend that you get a room with this option. We loved the balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the hot pot dinner. Of note, there weren't other dinner options besides hot pot (so while it was great for our two-night stay, it may not be enough variety for those planning on a longer stay).

Delightful hot springs pools. They have leisure facilities such as basketball, table tennis, billards, Nintendo. Mountain air was great. Hotpot dinner was nice too in the cold weather.

United KingdomNothing not to like.
Hotel with excellent spa and hot spring facilities, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet has lots of options, both Western and Asian. The large room had two big king size beds, an in-room onsen and a free minibar. All great. The hotel is close by great hiking paths and has a very reasonably priced shuttle/taxi service to anywhere in Yangminshan.

United KingdomThe main area of the hotel is clearly quite outdated and could do with a refurb. Loads of the hotel restaurants were shut, so we had to go elsewhere, and there wasn't anything in walking distance, and not much within a drive either! The 11am check out feels particularly stingy here for the price.
Absolutely incredible spa with breathtaking views over gorgeous mountains. Our room was spacious, comfy and had a beautiful hot spring bath. The spa facilties were excellent with a variety of open, secluded and indoor spaces. Just hope you're OK with the eggy sulphur smell! The breakfast was really nice, served in a spacious room, with plenty of Eastern and Western options.

SingaporeThe staff did not really tell us in detail what’s available for hotel guest. We have to figure out ourselves. The transport could be more well explained like a written note how the public bus work instead of having us ask and they may not be patient to answer how the transport work. Where to wait , have to flag and ask about the direction.

United KingdomHaving traveled in many countries extensively, we felt this hotels daily rate was very expensive. One night for nearly NT12.OOO seems so overpriced. In general, it is cheaper for us to fly out of Taiwan to go to hotels in other Asian countries, including airfare, than remaining here. This is sad as we are living in Taiwan.
The room was spacious and loved the two enormous and comfortable beds. Breakfast was enjoyable, and there was plenty for Western taste buds. The staff were lovely, very friendly, and tried hard to speak English to us. Towels were a good size and bathroom was clean.
