Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Modern facilites, ideal for a solo traveler. The beds are comfortable and toilets/bathroom were cleaned. The hostel is well located (plenty of things to do around). Recommended if you wanna stay a couple of days in Taipei.

Not dark enough to sleep well for me. Lights on is standard for Asia though. Snoring bunk mates.
Close to Taipei 101 and mrt red line. Comfortable beds.

There is no elevator. For some reason, the spin cycle on the washing machine didn't work.
The powerful air conditioner made it very comfortable. The bed was very clean. There were plenty of power outlets. It is located in a business-friendly location, within 5 minutes walk from TICC. There is a convenience store and Mos Burger on the next. Hot and cold water dispensers are conveniently located on each floor.

I felt uncomfortable when the dirty water from the shower room next door flowed into my shower room.
Good communication with the staff. Self check in. Right next to Taipei Tower, near the metro station. Easy access to the airport. Clean. Quiet. That giraffe was good!!

It would be nice if there were more hangers in the bathroom and extra shelves in the shower for personal stuff.
Great hostel, super cosy and comfy. Veeeery clean! Loved the idea about the slippers. Lockers big enough to store the luggage and the temperature inside just perfect. Big thank you to the staff who helped me to get to the doctor for emergency.

The room has poor soundproofing. Though there's an announcement to ask visitors to lower the sound after 10pm, it's hard for everyone to follow the regulations. However, overall the experience is good.

I wish we could block our capsule from the rest of people better. Like leave no gaps around the curtain. But it was still great overall!
I loved the little pond on the balcony! They have the cutest turtles! The bed was also comfortable!

Room wasn't really soundproof, could hear people next door snoring even though I was staying in a single room.

The bathrooms were not polishedly clean since they were shared bathrooms. Some of the shower areas have rust already.
It is accessible from Taipei101 - just around a 5-minute walk. It is also near different convenience stores like 7-11 and cafes where you can have breakfast in the morning.

Shared bath and toilet was okayyy, the room very small and no space to hang or put anything. Already run down with no repairs it seems.
The location is perfect, they had a washing machine (although not too clean)

Be aware, it's a mixed dormitory with both bathrooms and showers shared. Also, the shared spaces are pretty narrow, so it's not the easiest to meet and talk to other travellers.
Work Inn 101 was a great value for money for the dormitory option. It wasn't too noisy and the inn is very well situated within Taipei, with various transportation options nearby. The shared spaces were clean and well-equipped.

It is about a 10-minute walk from Taipei 101 and the MRT. There is also a supermarket next to the first floor for shopping. You can also have breakfast at the nearby Mos Burger & Louisa Coffee. Considering that it is just for rest and sleep during the journey, the price is reasonable.

The location is everything for this place, you can walk about 5 min and arrive to Taipei 101, many restaurants around. The place is good to stay for few days.
