Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThere was plenty of green in every corner in this hotel! I stayed in a loft room and was confused initially for I couldn't find the bathroom inside the room. But then I found it and I love the idea.

United StatesNothing - it was great.
It’s in a wonderful location. The design is very well thought out. I agree with the architects philosophy of separating the bathroom from the room itself, which is impressive in a room so small!

AustraliaThe stairs to bed are too narrow, causing pain to my sole. If it can be made it wider and deeper, might be easy and comfortable for someone who has foot pain.

TaiwanOnly two pillows for two , and they are flat, not so comfortable. Bathroom is outside by balcony. It makes people feel insecure.
Location is great. It is in a quiet neighborhood and close to cafe and restaurants. Room is very clean. The king bed is very comfortable.

United StatesThe sofa chair took a little time to get use to. If you sat on it wrong it felt like you were sliding forward. Beware that the bathroom door has a bit of a gap so I imagine in warmer months, that bugs or mosquitos may enter.
The staff were very kind and helpful. The common area is nicely decorated and relaxing. The room was nice and just like in the photos. I read about the bathroom being outside of the room but I found it to be a novelty, and the little balcony space was a plus. It's in a quiet neighborhood not too close to any major attractions (most things were a 20-30min walk for me), but it was so close to one of my main points of interests that I didn't mind (Foam cat cafe and Capoo shop lol). Would definitely chose SI Hotel if I ever visit Taichung again!

AustraliaMy parents didn’t like the (duplex suite) bedroom being upstairs and the stairscase was 90 degree straight up to the bed. It’d be hard for elderly to climb up to the bed.
The area was clean and easy to walk around in Taichung. It’s around 10-15 mins walk to the mall too.

TaiwanOverall it wasn’t the most confortable stay I have had. The light in the room is dim, many of the equipment are nice and designed and the interior of the hotel building is very beautiful. However, they aren’t exactly practical. For example, the charging is slow, the WiFi isn’t fast, the tv is very laggy and the pressure of the tap isn’t consistent. They provide a voucher for travellers to redeem a beverage between 15:00 til 22:00.

SingaporeNothing of concern.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We also like how the hotel's architecture and design incorporate many aspects of nature and greenery. Check-in experience was also smooth and we were provided a coupon for a beverage. In overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Si and we highly recommend this place!

NetherlandsThe information is not all in English. The rooms are really small compared to the photo's on the website. I could not properly sit in the toilet because of the way it's been installed next to the shower. After a short while the shower stops to give warm water and then you have to wait half an hour for new hot water to arrive. For this price, you can easily get a batter room in Taichung. I don't need to have 'lounge' music on the corridor with a speaker above the room door, so even in the room you have to listen to the music.
The design of the lobby is one of the features of the hotel. The photo's are not representative of the actual size of the rooms but the bed is really comfortable (prio one of a hotel), the location is good and quiet.
