The location was great, only a 10min walk from the train station. The check-in process was easy. The bed was super comfortable, the room overall very clean, and the bathroom well designed. It was perfect for a one-night stopover! I appreciated that they had a water filter in the hallway so we didn't have to buy bottled water.

Really large room with excellent facilities. Bathroom was enormous! Super clean. The receptionist was very professional and helpful, and were able to store our cycles in the lobby. Great location with a 7 Eleven opposite for the cold beer after a long day cycling!

Room size is quite spacious and had a pull-out couch. It was clean and bedding is comfortable. Walkable distance to great restaurants, bus stops and a 7/11 across the road.

I read reviews that some rooms have tubs and it's shown in the photos. Even when I booked a "deluxe" room, there was no tub.

Great location where you can get a valuable parking lot space close to the Wenhua market and train station for NT 100 per day on Guangcai Street. I stayed on the 10th floor in a two bed double for 3 days and then on the 9th floor in a "deluxe" double with 1 queen bed on a Friday. Both were clean and bright, but I would say that it's not worth paying for "deluxe" as it was basically the same as the basic room. The first 3 days were a spectacular value, the last Friday, not so much. The staff I think are 24 hours and always helpful.

There is not divide between shower and the rest of the bathroom, it can be very slippery after shower.

The only downside was the location. While it’s advertised as a 10-minute walk from the train station, it actually took longer, especially when carrying luggage. This could be better communicated to manage expectations for travelers with heavy bags. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay if you don’t mind a slightly longer walk to the station. The excellent service and comfortable rooms make it well worth considering.

We had a great experience staying here. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, which made for a very comfortable stay. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade, which was a lovely touch. The front desk staff were fantastic—patient, helpful, and full of useful advice on how to travel around the area. They went above and beyond to answer all our questions.

The shower water was unpredictable to regulate into a confortable temperature and the toilet is too small for an everage Northern European person

Central Chiayi, spacious and clean room (except the fungus in the bathroom), nice facilities and comfortable bed. They made an effort to make this into a nice place to stay. Water machine on all floors. Car parking included on a very nearby parking.

Green hotel has suitable, clean rooms with filtered water on each floor. Nice coffee shop on first floor. When I accidentally left my room key, the vendor called the hotel and the staff retrieved it for me! As my husband also had a key, I had not even missed yet. Above and beyond service! Luggage storage available.

Shower and toilet are housed in small glass compartments; it works but space is tight. As others have noted, sound proofing is bad at this hotel. You'll hear every time a chair is dragged across the floor or when people are having loud conversations in the hallway or rooms next to you. If you are sensitive to noise, this is not the hotel for you. One day during my stay, I went out to the hallway and was surprised to see the hotel had a guy spraying disinfecting chemicals in the room at end of hallway. I was told to go back to my room and stay there for 15 minutes for my own safety. Isn't that something the hotel would want to notify the guest ahead of time? They also have really old TV- I wish they have 4K TV. I used the TV as computer monitor and at 1080p the resolution is rather poor. A 4K TV with adjustable stand would make it a nice setup for remote work.

I stayed at this hotel from 12/8/2024 - 12/18/2024 in room 606 and used it as an office for remote work. Hotel is in a good location and is within walking distance to everything - food, laundry, train/bus station and museums.

Amazing stay, especially for the price! The room was extremely spacious, modern and clean. I will really miss the comfy bed. The staff, even though having limited English skills, was very helpful and kind. I also really appreciate the urge of the hotel to be sustainable - rooms were only cleaned when asked for (there was a convenient button inside the room to signal the wish for it) and they didn't offer too many single-use products that would just be thrown out afterwards. The hotel is located close to the Chiayi train station, a night market and several shops and restaurants.

The staff was super friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy. I had the best sleep in a long time, it was a shame that I only stayed for one night. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the train station and is very close to the night market. I actually walked to most of the sites within the city. I will not hesitate to stay here again next time.

Green Hotel is just a short walk from Chia Yi Train Station and also close to Wen Hwa Road, a bustling street full of delicious food options. Even though it’s on the street, our room was surprisingly quiet. We booked a slightly bigger room, and for the price, it was such a steal! The bed sheets and pillows were super comfy, the shower pressure was great, and the room had everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and adorable—just like most Taiwanese people we’ve met! They recommended 豆奶攤 for breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, in this city area, there’s no need for hotel breakfast since there are so many amazing options nearby. We’ll definitely stay here again next time, especially if we’re planning a trip to Alishan!
