How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Heard a few dogs bark at night. Earplugs can be helpful.
Great little place. Very nice people. We only stayed one night. Great room for relaxation on the fourth floor. The place is absolutely spotless.

Amazing location, with a view of the mountains. The room was gorgeous - much more so than in the photos, and the shared space on the top floor made the stay even more homely. Excellent communication, and I was really grateful to be able to rent a bike directly from the property. Definitely recommend!

This is a lovely place to stay in Dulan. It is in a quiet street but close to the main road and the Sugar Factory. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely mountain view. The top floor has a nice common space and a shared kitchen with free coffee (freshly ground coffee from beans), tea, and biscuits.

Quite the big room, the B&B itself is really cute and has a common area on the last floor with coffee, tea, drinks and a whole kitchen! Everything very clean and well equipped. The main road is close by (everything walking distance)!

Windows in room had only a tiny portion with screen, so it was not possible to open windows wide, making it a little stuffy in room. None of the beaches within walking distance are swimmable (of course, not the hotel’s fault).
Comfortable room with two toilets with Japanese bidets in each, nice common space with decent espresso machine (free), nice vibe, responsive owner. Owner rented us decent bicycles very cheaply.

A little more information about the town and places to eat would have been helpful.
The hotel offers a comfy area where you can make food and drinks and sit and meet others which is really nice. The rooms are well furnished with quaint decoration and a good size with plenty of wardrobe and storage space. The hosts are helpful - due to weather conditions we needed to stay an extra night - and they were very accommodating. The location is away from the main drag so it is relatively quiet but close enough to walk to the restaurants and beach. Use of bikes at a modest cost is also very helpful for getting around.

The host was extremely helpful, he helped us with a lot of requests and even called owners of other hotels for our next stay. Made us very happy! The location is also very good, it is on a quiet street, but very close to the main street. Some reviews earlier mentioned construction work next door, but that is already in the final stage and does barely cause any noise.

We can use the refrigerator in the common area on the 4th floor, but if each room has own refrigerator, it would be nicer.
The room is clean and comfortable, also the mountain view from the room is wonderful. The owner is very kind too.

Very nice rooms (with a very very big tv) and also an very nice shared space with free coffee and water. It is recommended to drink your coffee at the terrace upstairs with very nice views on the mountain and sea!

There was a bit of an issue with soundproofing in the room. On one particular night, there was a persistent barking dog outside that seemed to go on for hours, making it quite challenging to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, during the daytime, we encountered noise from the construction work happening next door. This made it quite noisy during daylight hours as well.
The location was perfect, situated in the alley right next to the historic sugar factory. It was conveniently close to a variety of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. The room itself was incredibly comfortable and well-appointed, the communal area equipped with everything one might need during their stay. The bathroom comes with a bidet and a laundry machine, making our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.
