Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongRoom is just enough for the bed and some space for your shoes or luggage besides it. Some weird stuffy smell that you will soon forget. Probably very hot in Summer.
Surprisingly soft and comfortable bed, on the soft side for me but it should work for most. Closer to Ximen than Taipei station if you consider the 3-minute wait at road crossing, so reasonable choice of food in the area.

United KingdomIf you're in the single room section it's across the road. If you want hot water for noodles you have to go to the main hotel. Prices very expensive for a very basic no windows room. There's aerials poking through the walls in every room so not sure if they're in the process of setting up flatscreen tvs. Obviously advertised as a much bigger room but a bit cramped.
Decent location amongst shopping and restaurants, main train station 15 minutes walk. Bathrooms ok and good hot water for the shower.

TaiwanWe stayed for 3 days and 2 nights but there was no turn down service. Would’ve been nice to have one since we paid for 2 nights. Bed was ok. My towel wasn’t the cleanest. Overall, it’s an OKAY hotel.
near XIMENDING and it’s a good value for money. They have a self check in and check out kiosk which is cool.

PhilippinesI believe this is part of a chain of hostels in Taipei, but unfortunately, we were assigned to what seems to be the oldest building located in the Wanhua District. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The building has a karaoke bar on the ground floor, and the noise carries all the way up to the rooms until 3 a.m. every night. We were on the second floor, and not only could we hear the music, but also the voices of guests exiting the bar late at night. It was nearly impossible to get any sleep – a complete nightmare. Our room was tiny, barely enough space for two people to stand inside at the same time. The bathroom was huge but very worn out, with constant flooding due to the lack of a shower partition. It felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. To make things worse, the cleaner banged on our door at 10:30 a.m. and started speaking angrily in Mandarin (which I don't understand). She only calmed down after I showed her our booking confirmation which clearly stated check-out was at 11 a.m. The Wi-Fi was practically unusable, which is especially frustrating if you work remotely or need a reliable connection. Overall, this was one of the worst hostel stays I’ve ever had. There are far better accommodations in Taipei for the same price or even cheaper. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

SingaporeHope i can get a refund, it could be the only thing i like.
Disappointing Experience: Overpriced and Underwhelming I was shocked by the subpar conditions: loud karaoke noise from the ground floor, dimly lit spaces, and incomplete renovations. The absence of a proper water tower led to inadequate water supply, with no toothbrush To make matters worse, the reception area is inconveniently located across the road, forcing exhausted travelers to trek over and communicate with staff through a mic. The cherry on top? The exorbitant price tag for NT4600/ ONE NIGHT for a cramped, double-decker room. It's a rip-off! If I could give zero stars, I would.
