We had such a lovely stay in Cingjing, this hotel was better than we could have ever hoped. The host, Ms Chen, is extremely welcoming. We were upgraded to a larger room upon arrival, which was very nice. Our room had a great balcony with an amazing view of the mountains. The area was quiet, calm, and very pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept so well all the nights. Breakfast was good, and our host made us special vegetarian ham slices, which was incredibly thoughtful. We opted for dinner at the property every night, and we had a great variety of home cooked food, tailored to our dietary restrictions. Our host also helped us set up a sunrise tour of Hehuanshan, and cooked us up some food for breakfast and our hikes. Truly a wonderful and hospitable experience and we would love to return!

Amazing stay - the homestay upgraded us to a double bed room, and the view from the room was breathtaking, I even managed to catch the sunrise from the balcony! The homestay owner was super sweet and detailed with her recommendations and tips for exploring the area. Down to even the exact bus timings we can board buses. She even borrowed us winter/mountain jackets when we signed up unprepared for the sunrise tour up in the mountains at 6/7 degrees celsius. While we didn't try their dinner, we had breakfast for 2 days and the food was very nice and lovely too! The place is also conveniently located near to mos/starbucks/24hr 711 if you prefer other options. The space in the room was large, and the details were very well planned, which made the stay very comfortable - e.g., they provided 2 tissue boxes per beside table, toliet had clear segregation from wet and dry zones. When we left, she even prepared mountain tea in bottles for us to bring along our long journey back to taichung. It's definitely a place I would return!

Not a dislike but more of an advice for those who want to come! Some shared charter services will not drive up to the homestay as they will be driving other passengers from other bnbs, so you would have to walk down to the main road area to board the bus/minivan, you must be ready to walk down a slightly steep slope (might be slightly challenging for those with joint/respiratory problems).

    - It is a homely place - There are a lot of toys in the lobby. There even was a ride-on car for my young toddler to play in it. - the service was fantastic. Very friendly and cheerful staff who were accommodating to us. They upgraded us so that the elderly folk did not have to climb so many stairs to get to their room! - the rooms are very large and cosy, my toddler had a lot of space to run around. - the view during breakfast was stunning.

    - they do not have cots for my toddler, We managed to get around it by building a pillow fort for him.

Close to bus stop , 7-11, Starbucks and other food, big room, good views from room, good breakfast. As we seemed to be the only family staying, the staff offered to change us to a room at the main building for free so that we did not have to climb so many stairs as they had available rooms. They prepared a sumptuous breakfast for us despite us being the only family staying that day.

Slightly uphill, if you are allocated higher rooms (they have more rooms behind the main building) then you will need to climb more stairs.

The owner was awesome. After knowing that my father cannot climb 100 stairs, she upgraded our rooms to family rooms that can be accessed with a chair lift. The rooms were big and clean. There is also Air conditioning in the rooms. The balcony also has a great view. The bathroom is huge and clean. The breakfast was great too. I enjoyed it very much. The location of this property is also great. It is located near to 7-11 and Starbucks. I highly recommend this property!

    Nothing!

If you’re not looking for a stay in the wannabe-European villas, this place was such a lovely more local spot with 11/10 staff! The staff did more than expected and gave so many advice and tips so that our stay would be good. The food served in the dinner buffet was delicious (we requested and received excellent Taiwanese vegetarian). Rooms were large and clean, with basic bathrooms. The views from the balconies were amazing (expect a lot (for real) of stairs! Though for lower floors some accessibility seemed to be ensured with a stair lift).

The view from the room is fantastic and the hosts were helpful, warm and hospitable. I was travelling with elderly parents and they were sensitive to their needs. In-house dinner was creative and delicious.

Bathroom looked abit dated but it's clean and well-maintained (showerhead was good). Quite a bit of stairs to climb but host also offered alternative routes and luggage carrying service, and journey back to the room is relaxing.

The host gave us a free upgrade which had better views & lesser stairs. She was very helpful, one of us accidentally left our phone on the bus which we took to Cingjing, she immediately called the bus operator and we managed to get back our phone. She also helped to plan our route there around the attractions, i.e. when and how to get to those attractions.
