The staff were warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was calm and restful. The private hot spring bath was a lovely touch, and we really enjoyed the peacefulness of the surroundings, especially under the beautiful night sky. The hotpot dinner was delicious—just be sure to pre-order it in advance, as there are no other dining options nearby.

Access to the hotel raises some safety concerns. The only way in is via a bridge, and on the way we saw buildings partially buried from previous landslides caused by the 2023 typhoon. Our driver mentioned that government warning signs along the road advise against staying in the northern slope of Lushan due to landslide risks. While we’re unsure if the hotel is directly within that zone, it was unsettling to know that road access could be cut off in bad weather. Additionally, the area feels mostly abandoned, with no nearby food options. Do make advance arrangements if you plan to have dinner at the hotel.

Wonderful host

The hot spring outdoor in the nature! It would be a great getaway deep in the mountains. The personal hot pot for dinner was delicious (need reservation ahead), as well as the breakfast. The female host was friendly and thoughtful.

It may seem hard to get to the place. However, with a rental car and some experience driving in national parks (e.g., Olympic National Park in Seattle, Road to Hana in Maui, and San Francisco City), we had no problem getting there.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The boss took time to chat with us and show us his amazing aquarium. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. Will definitely be booking again!

Nice hotel and very pleasant spa facilities. Staff is very pleasant. The mountain view snd view of the valley is not very impressive but given recent landslides understandable. Very early dinner time

We only stayed one night while visiting this part of Taiwan. Our room was very large and the hotel is very cool in that the hot water is provided by hot springs and not a heater. . It is located in a very remote area with very little nearby. The facilities appear to be recently renovated. I believe there had been a landslide in the area just over 10 years ago and there was ongoing construction but far enough away that we only saw it on the drive to and from the hotel. Staff was very nice and the included breakfast buffet was good.

- Roads under construction. The village was impacted by flooding last year (2023). You will need to drive by some under-constructing roads and bridges to get to the place. It’s not dangerous, but I’d definitely recommend you to arrive before the day turns dark.

Hot spring pool is amazing.

The bathroom could have been cleaner for the price. The wood used in the room wall has a strong aroma that is not my preference.

Exceptional value at this price point! The staff exuded warmth, the in-room hot spring was a wonderful oasis, and the recently renovated hotel gleamed with cleanliness. The breakfast spread was good, and the optional dinner surpassed expectations—especially in this remote town where dining options are scarce. A conveniently located vending machine outside offered a range of beverages, including a satisfying option for beer enthusiasts. Without a doubt, I will wholeheartedly recommend this gem to my circle of friends
