Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe entrance room door has some kind of frosted glass which means that light from the corridor will shine through and brighten up the room. As someone who prefers to sleep in complete darkness, this wasn't ideal.
Incredibly nice owner and staff. Provided helpful recommendations. Room and bathroom was clean and has everything you need. I had the room with a balcony facing the main street, nice views! Hangers provided on the balcony to dry your beach towel and bathers. It isn't noisy at all either. Towel included. You can rent snorkelling gear and water shoes from them. Water refill station is available. Location is great. Good value for money. Would come back and stay again :)

United StatesWhen the shop below the hostel is closed you have to enter through a back door in an alley. It feels perfectly safe, but it can be difficult to locate your first time. The doors to the rooms are flimsy so there's not much security (but it's Taiwan, so everything feels very safe), but more importantly it doesn't keep noise out. The door on my room also had frosted/tinted glass so light from the hallway came into the room until I turned off the hallway light. The balcony door also let's in lots of sound, but has curtains to block the light.
Centrally located in town so it's walkable to the ferry and shops and restaurants. Right next to a 7-11 is very helpful. The staff are very friendly and have recommendations for rentals and restaurants and will answer any questions you have. The bed is comfortable and the AC is cold, and they don't mind you leaving it on when you aren't in the room. Free cookies in the lounge area were a very welcome addition!

NorwayCould have wished for a bench or table, or hooks on the wall in the room to put bits and pieces on.
It's a very likeable hostel which they could easily make much better with some tables and chairs on the rooftop. There's an indoor dining table. The room was clean and quite spacious to be one of those mattress on the floor rooms. Excellent attached bathroom with good lightning. Superb WiFi. Hot and cold water dispenser and a fridge downstairs. Washing machine, which I didn't use as I washed a few pieces in the sink. It dried up really quickly on the rooftop. Excellent location just up from the ferry and 2 min walk to 7-eleven.

JapanThis hostel is in a great location, close to the port, and surrounded by many restaurants and stores, making it very convenient. The WiFi was strong and worked perfectly, even during video calls, which was a big plus. It was an off-season but the hostel owns a diving shop so it would be convenient for someone who wants to do scuba diving/ snorkeling:) Overall, a solid choice for a comfortable and well-connected stay!

GermanyThe room is a bit damp, but that's my experience for most hostels which are a bit older. I simply opened the window at night as there's also a mosquito screen attached. Unfortunately I couldn't get the balcony room, which made me a bit sad because I stayed longer than the other guests and would have liked a view and some daylight.
Lynn was very kind and helpful and I enjoyed our conversations. You can also rent snorkel gear at the hostel. There's coffee and water available. It wasn't too loud outside and I slept very well.

NetherlandsRoom and bathroom are a bit small. Also we felt that the amount of (speeding) scooters on the island is pretty insane, but of course that's not the fault of this hostel ;)
As the Danke hostel was full, they took us to another place across the Family Mart - so this review is about that place! It seems like an upgrade versus the Danke Hostel: comfortable bed, free coffee (beans) and a lot more modern in general. The staff was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay here.

NetherlandsWe stayed here for 12 nights because we were attending deep week, a freediving festival. The owner is super friendly and helpful, we rented a scooter from her as well. The room is simple but has all you need, some nice extra space to sort out our diving gear as well, and a big rooftop terrace to wash and hang our gear after diving. She also sells some pretty cool towels! The place is very close to the ferry terminal, and evehtough we were in one of the busiest streets, we weren't really bothered by the sound. Beds are very firm, my partner loved it, I had to get used to it but all good! Thanks a lot for having us! Sweet regards from your longest staying guests ever :)

SingaporeGood location - close to ferry and street with lots of food and convenience stores. Helpful owner and staff - helped to book snorkelling and rent e-bike, shared tips on what bus to take when I'm travelling to my next destination, and even helped me return my e-bike when I had to leave early in the morning the next day.

SingaporeAll was good
Drinking water and coffee, and even sample packs of snacks provided free. Miss Jidan is friendly and warm, super helpful and helped us book a scooter (and helped us return the scooter as well) and water activities at short notice and at good rates. The TV had English & Chinese movies. The hostel has plenty of food options and a convenience store just steps away. It is just a short walk, after alighting from the ferry.
