Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe bathroom had some black mould on the ceiling and in the corners.
Was a nice hotel, and a great starting point for a day trip to Sun Moon Lake. Breakfast is very Chinese, which is totally fine and plentiful. Staff was very friendly and with Google Translate we could communicate well.

TaiwanWe had the wheelchair friendly room booked way before. We also told the hotel staff before hand that we are checking in late. Sadly upon check in, room that was given is not a wheelchair friendly room. The reason being is that, that room is currently occupied by other guest. In fairness, we were given the appropriate room the following day.
I booked my family for their vacation here in Taiwan. We booked a wheelchair friendly room. I chose this hotel because of its proximity from we live. There is 7-11 a block away from the hotel. There is also a do it yourself coin laundry shop in front. Restaurants are also near the hotel. It is a quiet a busy place. Lots of tourist that come and go almost everyday. They come by the numbers. Breakfast is included in the booking. Its a buffet style. Mostly local cuisine. Has western option as well albeit not that much ( bread and jams, the likes).

PhilippinesThe hotel is near (8-10 minutes) the bus station for routes to Taichung TRA and HSR, Sun Moon Lake, Formosan Village, and Qingjing Farm. The staff are accommodating and very considerate. They even offer a service to take you to the bus station or nearby places if needed.

SlovakiaBefore coming to this hotel, we were in Hualien County, EXACTLY in the epicenter of the biggest earthquake since 1999. We called Chen Pao to ask for the booking cancellation since we were stuck there (transportation was suspended and roads were closed - they were completely destroyed by landslides), but the hotel replied that they are not sure if they can do it. They kept delaying their response, visibly trying to play on time and being VERY rude when I called in to check up on the process. Finally, unexpectedly we somehow managed to escape Hualien and get to the place (only after 10+ hour-long commuting and multiple stopovers), but I just want to ask: how cruel you must be to embark on a lengthy debate to decide whether your customers can cancel a booking due to a massive natural disaster? Also, on your website it states that the cancellation of the booking can be done under „special circumstances”. I guess that the earthquake of quarter of century does not fall into this category. Besides, the swimming pool was closed during our stay so the earthquake did have an influence after all? lol Apart from the disaster: the hotel is mid and overpriced. Not really worth it.
The location close to the Puli Station.

SingaporeI did not like the hotel for the following reasons: 1. It was so old. The whole hotel is so dated with no effort made to renovate, clean or update the lobby and the dining area which is the focal point of the hotel upon entry. The décor and furniture looks like it has not been changed for the past 30 years. 2. The staff at the reception counter were not friendly and not helpful. Whatever interaction we had was curt and business-like without much warmth or desire for customer satisfaction. 3. The breakfast buffet was plentiful but the quality of food was not great. I did not look forward to going down for breakfast on the second day of my stay. But this could be just my personal preference - perhaps it is because I didn't like the food whereas others may enjoy it. 4. The rooms were decently sized with ample space for 2 adults. The bed was decent but the pillows were rock hard. I have never experienced such hard and non-compressible pillows before. The bathroom was decent with a good shower. They did provide some amenities like paper slippers, toothbrushes, razors, combs, shampoo and shower gel but the quality was fairly low. Still, I do appreciate that these were provided. 5. The swimming pool water was very cold and was so shallow that I couldn't even do proper laps. It's more of a wading pool.
1. Location - the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of town and there are many convenient shops and amenities within walking distance. There is a 7-11 and Family Mart just downstairs and there are several restaurants (Teppanyaki, Japanese food, pasta, etc) within a 5 min walk. There are two 24-h laundromats just across the street which makes it super convenient to wash your clothes. There is also an excellent breakfast place just a few doors away which has excellent sandwiches. 2. Free parking - I appreciated that the hotel provided convenient and free parking. 3. They have a gym with many treadmills and cycling machines but no free weights.

SingaporeThe staff here were amazing and friendly. The location is beyond perfect. Everything is walkable- takes less than 10 min to get to the convenience store like Family Mart & 7-11. There's also near to the public transport instantly accessible. Our room was on the 13th floor and faced the mountain and what a magnificent view it was especially at night, our room was lovely and big and very clean. The bed was comfortable and there were multiple pillow options. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the room was really well maintained.
