Amazing stay with amazing and great people (staff and owner) - everyone was super friendly. The breakfast was great!! Just 3 minutes from the beach. Room was spacious, the bathroom was very nice - hot shower was working well. Super comfortable bed. There was a small baby cat that was being taken care of by the owners children. Would always return!

We loved staying at Casa Carlotta. The breakfast was also so delicious, offering fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, pancakes etc. The chefs and cleaners were also very lovely. Special mention to Roy for helping us have a wonderful stay. He was so friendly, kind and was nice to talk to.

I am delighted with my stay in the Casa Carlotta. Everything is great,location,cleanliness,comfort,breakfast. The hosts are extremely kind,especially a guy named Roi. Always ready to help.They also organize transportation from the airport to the Casa. Everything works great.We will go again soon. For each recommendation.

everything was perfect, owner Maurice and Roy help us a lot. they arrange taxi from airport to the hotel and they give us information where we need to go around. the beach is on 200-300 meters away from the property. Location is very central and you have everything what you need near. wifi is great, and they serve very good breakfast. rooms are very clean and comfortable. because of the great location and nice hospitality we decide to stay here 9 more days.

Owner do not pass information about our arrival to Rodri so we had no taxi from airport and he did not pick phone from anyone so there is no way how to call here.

Rodri was really helpful and friendly but he did not forced us to buy some trips wit him at all. He helped us to get our luggage as it did not come at the airport and helped to secure our taxi to other destination. Casa Carlotta is like 5 minutes walk from the beach so no problem at all. Air condition was working nicely and whole property is surrounded by wall with gate so we felt safe. Breakfast was also nice but girl that prepare it speaks really quietly somwe did not understand her much.

Fridge didn’t work but we managed ok and was able to store items in the main villa fridge.

Lovely little oasis in the middle of a busy and convenient location. Room was very comfortable. Shower water hot and staff were amazing. Thanks Roy for all your help!

Not really about Casa Carlotta, but Nungwi in general: you get hassled a lot by people trying to sell you tours, souvenirs, juices, nuts.....or just to engage in conversation (especially Maasai)!!! Every day, on the way to the beach and on the beach itself. I confess, it messed with my experience (and good mood). The beaches are beautiful, especially good for swimming, but you can also walk to Kendwa at low tide, for bigger beaches (you'll still get hassled, though :D).

Maurizio, the owner, makes you feel at home, straight away. Roy, the manager, and the staff, are super friendly and helpful. You have delicious breakfast (with Nutella, hehe) outside and the in the evening, you can relax on the sofa. There's also a shared kitchen at your disposal, if you want to prepare your own meals. You get a set of keys to the room and the outside door, so you're totally free to leave and return, as you please. You're 3 minutes away from the beaches, and on the way, you will pass by various restaurants (highly recommend MJ's for delicious food at a good price) and street shops (there's also a mini market, right next to Casa Carlotta). Definitely enjoyed my stay!! Asante sana!

The breakfast we didn’t enjoy so much. Maybe more options can be made available as people from different locations cannot have same taste in food.

I liked the friendly host. He is very amiable and easygoing. I loved the location🥰🥰It has close proximity to everything a tourist would want and a few minutes walk to the beach. Roy was exceptionally helpful and gave great directions.

No view from the windows as the area is walled off from the outside world but that obviously protected privacy.

It was extremely comfortable, peaceful, and safe. The area was walled off therefore it offered a peace and tranquility from the action outside. Our apartment had a little space outside. Bed super comfortable. Everything worked well. Staff amazing.

Good location, close to the beach with good breakfast. Two small shops just around the corner, and a few good restaurants. One of them - Baraka - serves great grilled lobster for 25.000 TZS (cca 9 EUR).

There was nothing to dislike.

It was exactly as described in the listing. Amazing location within walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. The apartment is super clean, fresh fruit, and juice with breakfast was most welcoming. The hosts were fantastic and accommodating. The manager Roy is exceptionally caring and attentive. I was well taken care of and will certainly stay at Casa Carlotta & Villa again.

We stayed in Casa Carlotta in low season (April) and it was wonderful experience. This is a simple and quiet place with beautiful garden, just some few minutes from the beach, well surrounded (shops, pharmacy, restaurants..). We liked everything about this place, especially very good reliable service (you wake up and breakfast is waiting for you ready to be served, everything is clean, kitchen is well equipped (even blender!), room service is perfect too, a good pressure in shower, hot water, AC working very well, bbq possible). Terrace is very inviting as well, we enjoyed it so much while it was raining. There are everything we needed to have comfortable vacations. I would say the conditions here are very good with European accent, compared to other places we stayed in Zanzibar. Thank you Maurizio and Prisca for creating such a good place in Nungwi and Roy, who was kindly taking care of everything. We would definitely come back again.

First of all, congratulations to the friendliness of the owner of the house, Mr. Mauricio, and to Roy who's is the manager of the house... he will treat you as if you were in your own house! 5 stars!! And the room is big and vry clean! The breakfast fantastic! And is in the centre only 2 minutes walking of the best beach. highly recommended!
