How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was lovely, right on the beach. Bungalows surrounded by native tropical vegetation, great for birds and monkeys. Treehouse had a nice veranda, lovely sit on observing the environment. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Kitchen produced fresh organic food, not complex, full of flavour.
Water was an issue, supply cut out frequently, no hot water available at all.

Verified reviewI loved the location (at,the ocean and in a quiet area) the facilities (a few 'natural' bungaliws with balconies or terraces in a garden), the delicious food , renewed every day, and above all the highly welcoming and dedicated multicultural team, from the owners, to the restaurant, cleaning, maintenance,, security). They have a very friendly and efficient network for activities (the blue safari with Ally, including a delicious seafood BBQ , is a must).. Furthermore, they are flexible with time.

Verified reviewGood breakfast every day of fruit, toast, juice, eggs. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The owners assisted a lot with our queries and Zac, the massai waiter was entertaining and informative. The cabins are very basic with cold salt water showers and bushbabies scratching the walls in the evening. The village is within easy walk either across the beach when tide is out or down the muddy lanes. Villagers very friendly. We were able to use the pool in neighbouring bigger hotels when the tide was out gor a small fee.
Cabins are more remote than expected and roads to the village are not lit sp following dinner you have to amuse yourselves. Village is also remote

Verified reviewBeautiful location right on the beach
Streets around the area made it hard to go for a walk , not fault of owners, everyone has to deal with it

Verified reviewThe wooden tents were quite nice although unclean with a beautiful partial view on the sea.
The staff is very unhelpful, especially the two French hosts that do not have a sense of customer service. The place overall is quite neglected, the wooden cabin unclean, no hot water and the food is bellow average. Overall do not recommend
We have helped you with the taxi, with restaurants around our place. We asked every day if the leg of your boyfriend was good. You arrived after the breakfast time, and otherwise , you were served. Why did you stay if you didn't like anything? just to complain.. We prepared every evening specially for you hot water. You stayed in the room till 5 pm, for sure my house keeper already left. Your boyfriend was not polite with my staff, specially with my massai. So, the two french managers and staff, advice you to go to 5 stars hotels.

Verified reviewClose to the beach and very nice breakfast
We had a bit of a”sand” in our bed because the roof is made with palm trees so we weren’t very happy with the night there but the beach and the breakfast made it better

Verified reviewAmazing location, far from hustle bustle, private beach in front. No One is h(a)unting you..! Owners and staff are helpful, kind and honest. Resort is natural, nice restaurant as well., we loved Kingfish and fresh Mango juice ! Sandrine manages various trips - coral snorkeling, swimming with turtles, dolphin boat trip, Jozani forest excursion.. Swimming and snorcheling is possible right from beach, but take tide into account, there is helpful chart on web, no problem..

Verified reviewSuch a neat paradise! Coco Reef was a perfect place for the first part of our honeymoon. The whole staff was very friendly, conversational and accommodating. Sandrine even made sure we had breakfast for our airport trip in the morning! The food was delicious at every meal! The lodges were really neat, authentic places to stay and we absolutely loved that we could walk right outside our door to the beach. Great place and great people. Just what we were hoping for!
Not a problem for us but the lodges don’t have air conditioning so just keep that in mind!

Verified reviewEverything about this place was wonderful. It felt like a hidden paradise, surrounded by lush greenery, almost like a jungle. The beach was peaceful and serene, with only a few people around, making it the perfect escape. The staff were absolutely amazing—always kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. When I wasn’t feeling well, they provided medicine, checked in on me, and made sure I was comfortable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We had so much fun during our stay. We were eager to see tropical animals, and they helped us spot a bushbaby. Colorful tropical birds fluttered around our bungalow, adding to the magical atmosphere. The food was delicious, and we deeply appreciated both the place and the people. We spent about ten days here for our honeymoon, and it felt like being part of a warm, close-knit community. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would love to return.

Verified reviewLovely rustic wooden & palm leaf bungalow overlooking greenery in the garden, the space was huge and we were comfortable and happy in our space. The beach was quiet and peaceful with sun chairs and hammocks, and the sea swimmable at high tide. Despite the name, there is very little reef outside the property, however, you can find some fish and interesting sea creatures snorkeling if you swim out. The staff were friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Some of the local dishes we tried of the menu were very tasty, such as the cassava, coconut and fish pot.
A minor thing: it would have been nice to have a drinks menu to know what is available. Bring earplugs for sleeping: you can sometimes hear music from other nearby properties at night (of course not the owners fault!).

Verified reviewVery cool palm huts with bathroom and terrace to enjoy the sea view. Lovely garden, direct access to small but lovely beach all you need for perfect holiday! The staff is very attentive and helpful, the breakfast is delicious but also you can order very tasty local food. Sandrine helped us to organize transfer and to rent scooter. Merci!
Note that the village suffers some powercuts sometimes but the property have some generator so in case of emergency it was on

It's hard to say what I didn't like but I would have liked for the chicken not to wake me up at 4 in the morning. Taking into consideration it's a chicken. haha.
