It was peaceful and comfortable, with very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful accommodation, which was well decorated and designed. The location was quiet, and easy to walk to the beach from there.

The breakfast was OK, but the selection/choices could be improved slightly.

My initial impression of the hotel differed significantly from the online photographs. The neglected pool area, with its weedy edges, cloudy water, and faded, weathered furniture, was a disappointing first sight. Check-in was pleasant, with friendly staff and a welcome drink. However, our first-floor room, situated beside a common area, was underwhelming. It resembled a basic backpacker accommodation: small, musty, and dimly lit, lacking windows. While clean, it lacked the advertised vibrancy. The room offered functional amenities, including effective air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a mosquito net, ample electrical outlets, complimentary water and toiletries, and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom, despite a small window, had a poorly fitting door and a shower without a cubicle. The mildly salty water lacked hot water on our first morning, requiring manual activation. Breakfast was a redeeming factor, offering a good selection of freshly prepared options with jam, toast, coffee, and juice. Our first evening meal, however, was a major letdown. The prawn curry, served with a few minuscule, likely frozen shrimp hidden among vegetables, was far from satisfactory. The accompanying fries were excellent, but the curry itself was a poor value. When we expressed our disappointment to the waiter, who consulted the chef, we were told the dish should contain six prawns. This was unacceptable given their size and quality. While the second night's burger was adequate, the fries were inferior. Overall, this hotel fell short of expectations and didn't align with the positive reviews we'd seen.

    * Misleading photos: Hotel did not match online images. * Neglected pool: Weedy, cloudy, and worn furniture. * Dingy room: Small, musty, and lacking windows. * Poor maintenance: Faulty bathroom door, no initial hot water. * Disappointing meal: Minimal, low-quality prawns in curry.

    Property response:

We are so sorry you did not match your expectations while staying with us. We totally understand your frustrations, but we made sure you felt comfortable although you were very rude to our staff, insulting them and causing a sin in a sense of not wanting to pay your meal bill. I hope you overcome your shortcoming and learn to respect people who host and take care of you on your holidays. Thank you and hope to host you again in the future with a positive energy.

We loved everything about Daima. It is a luxurious and calming haven just a 1 minute walk from the beach. This part of the beach is very clean and chilled. Everything there is quality. The room was superb, the pool fabulous, it’s very quiet and peaceful. There is private secure parking. Breakfast was excellent comprising fruit, toast and omelette - other choices also available such as avocado toast. The staff were great but the highlight was Jimal who attended to every detail with a big smile. He made our stay special. We wished we had stayed longer!

There was nothing that we didn’t like. It was a little gem of a place.

    Property response:

Thank you so much Nicola, we were so glad to host you, and we hope to see you again the future!

Excellent breakfast and very comfortable appartement with kitchen. Very close to the beach. Amazing setting and the personnel os super friendly and helpful.

Almost nothing. Just that my wife doesn't like cats and dogs, while they walk around freely during breakfast.

We just had a great time to celebrate our special occasion. They welcomed us with a super good welcome juice and a surprise in our room. The staff was amazing. Everybody was very sweet and polite, always asking us if we needed anything. The facilities (pool, dining areas etc) were cozy and beautiful. We mostly ate out, but based on 1 lunch and some snacks we were really happy of the lunch/dinner menu.

It was not bad, but we thought the breakfast could be improved. There was little choice included in the price we paid and many things were extra.

    Property response:

It was with great pleasure to host you during your honeymoon, we wish you all the best and hope to see you in the future again.

The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly, really nice and willing to do everything possible for us to be pleased. The apartment was really lovely with spacious rooms, very comfy beds, a good bathroom and everything you need. The accommodation seems to have two buildings, each with its own swimming pool, and they kept us separate from each other so we had an entire swimming pool for us and another apartment. They also have a restaurant with good quality food. You can pay by card if you like which is convenient. The location is very good: it's second line from the sea, but only 1 min walk from the beach. Jambiani is quiet relaxing and picturesque.

Nothing really, all was good. But we never saw the other building, so we didn't see the place that shows on the main picture in the website

The Villa suited us we rented both apartments for the entire family so we had sole access to the pool and outdoor facilities. The staff were absolutely amazing and made our trip the best yet. They did so much to accommodate us in any way and made us all feel so welcome and special. The cleaners were spot on also, the rooms were clean to a good standard and the pool was very well kept! Breakfast in the mornings was also very good

The food at lunch and dinner times although this is an extra charge so you can use the facilities to make your own food or eat out at other venues. The breakfast was lovely tho!!

We booked the whole viila for ourselves with our own private swimming pool! Brenda, the host of the facility was very supportive and cooperative,. She was responsive and provided prompt feedback on all our queries. The villa is very modern but has a touch of "traditional Zanzibar" with beds and the bathroom very unique. The hostw as very quick to respond to our concerns e.g we had an issue with the "shut off" within the bathroom and it was rectified within 30 minutes! All the Daima villa staff were exceptional and provided very excellent and customer oriented service. The chef, the cleaners, the waiters, the guard were all available throughout the day and until 10:00pm for any requests. The villa provided "specialized menu" that was tailored to our family demands

    Nothing

Warm welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for you in a non obtrusive manner. Superb. Spotlessly clean and great location 2 minutes from the beach and five minutes walk to the main road for shops.

The bed was hard and took some getting used to.

The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the fresh juice that accompanies it. We also liked the decor and swimming pool at the villa. The staff were also professional.

The breakfast menu could be a bit varied to include more local foods. Also, they only accept visa payments in USD and don't promote using the local currency(tsh) which is odd, considering that is the national currency.
