It was the most memorable holiday - this resort is exceptional; superbly clean, wonderful staff and diverse entertainment each evening, outstanding food and a unique attention to detail making sure you and your family are having the best time. A huge thanks to all staff ( Asante Sana) most particularly Ali at reception and Issa, Shabaan, Steven, Lucy and Paulina. And Dickson the resident artist !

The food was outstanding, so much fresh food daily and cooked to order. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, Paulina the waitress in the restaurant always greeted me by my name. ❤️ the bar team also so friendly and helpful. Nothing was any bother for the team. I really loved the gifts and notes in the bedroom when we came back from dinner, was such a lovely thing. Something to remember.

The Staff was fantastic. Always at any time very friendly and helpful. Every wish/request was fulfilled efficiently. I would like to mention Chef Warren. He has been incredible. One day I did not like a dish and the next day I was invited for a free private dinner at the beach with my partner just to make it up to me that I did not like a dish the day before. I have never experienced such an excellent customer service. Same for guest relation, the restaurant staff, the animation team (Issa), the Spa team and the reception. They really know how to make a guest feel happy. Many other touristic countries in Europe could learn from this.

United KingdomWe had a wonderful stay at Gold Beach Zanzibar, made extra special by the fantastic team. Baraza and Happiness were delightful during dinner—always warm and welcoming. Salma made breakfast feel like home, and Tunu at the egg station greeted us each morning with the best smile and energy. Baraka was incredibly helpful with organizing our excursions, and Christine’s crepes were a daily highlight! Ali, who greeted us at reception, was a lovely guy—friendly and welcoming from the start. A big thanks as well to Issa and Justine at the beach club for their attentive service, and to Aboubakar who kindly helped us stay dry during a sudden downpour. Lastly, Dixon at the kids club truly stood out—his talent and kindness shone through, and his paintings are absolutely worth picking up. A great guy and a real asset to the resort!

The team was both friendly and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. Special thanks to Nicole, Salim, Khadidja, and the rest of the team for their exceptional hospitality! The food options were simply outstanding—high quality, diverse, and impeccably managed. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a delight. The entertainment was perfectly balanced—enjoyable without being overbearing. One of the highlights of our stay was being upgraded to a villa. It was spacious, luxurious, and offered an unforgettable experience. The overall quality of the hotel is truly five-star, from the accommodations to the amenities. If you’re planning a trip to Zanzibar, look no further than Gold Zanzibar. South AfricaThe desserts could definitely be improved upon. Given the rest of the food is amazing, desserts definitely let them down. Drinks menu is lacking. Selection of wines and drinks definitely not up to par. The last thing is not a complaint as such. The resort could definitely do with more foliage around the pool area just to give it some extra shade and help with the glare.

Location and layout excellent. On probably the largest and best beach on the island, plenty of beach umbrellas and sun beds but nicely spaced out. Gardens are delightful, well managed. Amazing sunsets, sea views stunning. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food choices are exceptional. Dhow sunset cruise great fun.

GermanySwimming pool is great and really a large one but need better mainentance and refurbished. The pool could be in better condition; some of the mosaic tiles are coming loose from the edges or the bottom and are scattered all around.
Breakfast was great especially the fruits like mangos, pineapple etc. People were extremely helpful and friendly, the facilities e.g. garden, flowers well maintained

PortugalEverything was beyond perfect, we couldn’t recommend it more.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always looking after us and making sure we were happy throughout our stay. The food was fantastic, incredibly varied and themed every single night. The entertainment also exceeded our expectations- from fire shows, to masaai dances, dinner time was always guaranteed to be a good time. We loved every night for each unique show presented and even became friends with some of the locals! We got to walk along the coastline on the beachside, and even though there are plenty of resorts nearby we thought Gold’s beach was the best one by far! Quieter, clearer water and no jellyfish which we found in other stretches of beach affected most by tides. Throughout our stay we also got to meet Nicole, manager of guests relations who was lovely and offered us a free sunset cruise on the resort boat which was really amazing. It felt we were so welcomed and appreciated as guests! The hotel also had special rooms that allowed us to shower and change clothes after our check out allowing us to enjoy one last day of beach and facilities in the most comfortable way possible. Overall it really felt like we experienced one week of paradise.
