We would just like to highlight a few things for future guests: – The bathroom is separate from the room. It’s beautiful and private, but it is outside (this was mentioned in the description, but we hadn’t noticed it). – We couldn’t sleep very well on any of the nights, as the mattress is very, very firm (as in many places on the island). – In the mornings and evenings, we could hear people talking (the entrance to the accommodation is right next to the windows of the rooms), and there were many birds making noise throughout the night.

The accommodation overall was good. Breakfast was very filling, the staff were lovely, and the fresh juices were delicious.

Nothing it was perfect.

A warm welcome my room was exceptionally clean loved the deco. I liked having to take shoes off at the main door as I do at home. Location was excellent 2mins walk to the stunning Paje Beach. Breakfast was so fresh & good food served with coffee or tea. Would highly recommend.

My only concern was the shared bathroom in the house and the smell of the faucet water. The idea of a shared bathroom is not bad, but the bathroom needs some serious renovation. It didn’t feel private. There was a certain smell from the shower and the lightening is dark in there.

I love how friendly and accommodating the staff there are. The breakfast was amazing. There was always something different to eat. The property should consider opening up a restaurant close by or serving lunch and dinner also because we didn’t have a lot of good options to eat outside of the house.

There is no AC which we knew when we booked, however they had fans that worked very well. But might worth to consider if you get warm easily!

Great location and incredibly friendly staff! The breakfast was really good and we also really liked the possibility we had of cooking our own food. It is very close to the beach and in a place that feels very safe.

The only room avalible was a shared bathroom. It was ok; the bathroom was very clean. But book early if you want a private bathroom. In Paje the power goes off often. It resolves itself quickly, but still it gets pretty hot. Our room only had a fan, no AC.

Very clean. Kind and helpful staff. We got help with cleaning our clothes. The room was in second floor so luckily less mosquitos, and less hot than other places. Good breakfast! A very Nice athomsphere. And super close to the beach! Great value for the money. They had closets we Could lock our bag in after check-out! Perfect for a beach day before travelling!

I’ve really enjoyed my stay here. The location is amazing, close to the beach, and to many restaurants. The room was clean, looked exactly like the in the photos (nice Tanzanian style). Very friendly and helpful staff (they helped with booking a taxi). And breakfast was delicious. Every day was something new and tasty. Definitely will recommend to my friends and family.

It is extremely hot at this time of the year, so it would have been nice to know that the room doesn't have air-conditioning. Mlango has a pool but we were strictly forbidden from using it because apparently the pool belongs only to the Mlango villa, not for guests staying in the Mlango house which is basically the annex. We were travelling with a 7-year-old, so to tell them they couldn't use the pool seemed very odd. Instead, we were advised to go to one of the nearby resorts and use their pool. Again, a strange thing to say to your own guests.

Breakfast staff were friendly, professional and the food was well presented. Room was spacious enough and Bathroom was clean Aesthetically, the place has a nice vibe and is a walking distance to the beach.

- Breakfast is very bad, sausage cooked with ketchup or a burger full of mayonnaise at 8am… not even real coffee, just instant one. when I ask to have different breakfast and not a burger , the manager didn’t received it well, and just said it was like this, they cook with what they have … portion are quite small as well - we stayed 4 nights, they didn’t came ONCE to clean our room - only 1 towel each, not more, not even one for the hands or to put on floor outside the shower - apparently there is a pool , but there is not ! They didn’t show us the way and it was not in our building … - we asked for late checkout ( we wanted to leave at 4pm) , the manager only offered us until 11am - which is just normal check out time - and thus without having any client after us .. tho she offered us to use the bathroom after our beach day, BUT removed our towels and OUR SOAP that we let on purpose - no way to close windows so no privacy at all, so at night sometimes can get noisy with other hotels playing music .. - at checked out, no one came to help us with our suitcases or so - not even a tiny soap is given in the bathroom Honestly everything was very bad, we payed 180 usd for 4 nights which is very expensive for paje ! I live in Zanzibar and come to paje often, I have been to cheaper places with 3x better customer services and facilities … don’t waste your time
