This is probably my favourite low price accommodation that’s on the coast. The staff are super friendly and they make an effort to make the place unique. The food is very good and the drinks are decent. It’s a very affordable and cool place to stay. I’d definitely go back.

It was hot as hell and the bed was a bit hard - definitely recommend getting one of the rooms with an AC.

Electricity is gone often and for long, but I was prepared with powerbanks, so not a big problem and not their fault.

Everything! The bungalows and the area is so peaceful. Really nice staff. Best food on Zanzibar. Housekeeper did a really good job, room was always clean and every day free from mosquitos.

Beautiful tropical ambience and garden. Chilling on the balcony was such a blast! Actually two balconies. Nicely designed rooms. I totally loved the room of stay. Number 11, super cool! Everything clean. Hot shower. Internet was fine too. Good breakfast. Very pleasant and kind staff. Bicycles free to use. Beach is very near. It was a pleasure to stay in this place. Recommended.

We liked everything

I was working remotely and stayed at Sagando for a few days to relax while working on my laptop. It exceeded all our expectations! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious—every meal felt like a treat. Sagando offered the perfect blend of tranquility and functionality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and inspiring getaway! Magical place that became my second home after spending three weeks there. Very good vibe every evening around the bonfire with music and dancing. Staff that became like my family and took care of everything I needed. Thank you for eveything, Im sure Ill be back plenty of times...

Nothing to complain. Everything was just excellent.

Amazing lodge with beautiful garden and nicely designed rooms (the bathroom outside was an additional attraction). Staff is very kind and friendly - greetings to Veronica, Idris and Kalista for making our stay even greater. Sagando is also very close to the beach - just a few minutes walk. I recommend it to everyone.

Due to power cuts, our A/C was beeping occasionally and musquitoes can be quite frequent on this location. Service could be less polepole. :)

Close to the beach, yet private enough to have its own ecosystem. There is a campsite, which comes alive at night. If there are enough people, they have their own drums, so you can drum along or just chill drinking whatever you like. Extremely joyful staff also!

The room was slightly hot and the fan could have been a bit better, there are more noises at night with local music around but not a bad sound to hear. More bugs around as the property is away from the wind, but to bugs are to be expected and they remind you of the surrounding presence of nature. The only issue with the room I had was that the shower drain clogged and didn't smell great, but otherwise it is a very natural, warm, and friendly place to stay! Would definitely recommend.

Super friendly staff, amazing food -breakfast included but the dinner menu was also delicious. Nice short walk to the beach, many places to relax around the property both private and communal. Very peaceful with the birds and forest around. Bonfires at night.

The staff was amazing, they always ensured that we had what we needed at all times. The bungalow we were staying in was great. There is an amazing entrance where you can relax. It is very close to the beach, a local bar and a few restaurants. The bungalows are fairly close to many turistic attractions and other turistic beaches (driving or bus). The food at Sagando is very tasty. We had an amazing time, it was lots of fun.

Professional, warm, welcoming and willingness to help by the front desk officers Sadati and his manager was really amazing. More informative. They made us feel really at home. Rooms are clean, with spacious and full of privacy. I really recommend especially when already in island for last minute deals.

Blackouts are common but that's in the whole the country. Everything else is super.

The stuff is amazing, helpful and so welcoming. Bonfire every night, tasty food, close to the beach and best value for money. Highly recommended. Thank you Ibra, Veronica, Issa!! We will see you again.

No light in the bathroom and unluckily due to low pressure there was no hot water in the shower, but not a big issue since outside was hot

Bungalows are close to the beach and mangroves. Room clean at the second floor. Staff, in particular the girl at the restaurant is really nice. We saw a monkey :) in the trees. Easy to get by dalla dalla

This was our third time at Sagando, we absolutely love it. The staff are wonderful - very friendly, happy and helpful. Excellent location among the trees (we loved watching the bush baby!) and a very quick walk to a stunning beach. Room was very clean and food delicious! Great price. We were sad we had to leave a day early but we will be back!
