Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

We had a nice stay at this apartment. It had everything we needed, including all the kitchen equipment, warm water, and reliable WiFi. The balcony was a nice bonus, providing a great spot to relax. The people were friendly, and the location was very convenient for getting around. Overall, a good place to stay if you're looking for something practical and well-situated.

ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WE DID NOT STAY IN Amaryllis homes. We were told there is some toilet issue in the room which we booked 1 week ago . So they have shifted another room for us. however, the room he got for us is not Amaryllis homes. It is different place. This makes us feel like we were re-sold to other hotel. But anyway, the shifted room is nice. It is much better if they can tell us it is another place.

The only downside to this beautiful place was the Host, very unresponsive. Didnot pick calls nor reply texts till checkout time. The home would also use some wifi or cable tv

Very nice apartment in a residential area just outside the city center, large, smart layout. The host was excellent in accommodating us and whenever there was something we needed she was there. The facilities, and bed was comfortable, everything that we needed was there. Everything was clean and a balcony to sit outside.

Had agreat stay with great host and prefect quiet location..the location of this apartment is amazing near the river nile and the golf course with great cafes and restaurants all within walking distance.the internet was fast and the caretaker was incredibly helpful and always cheerful..had a great stay here would recommend!!!

This Airbnb was spotlessly clean and freshly smells, quiet, and perfectly located. Everything,supermarkets, banks, and essentials , it was within walking distance, so I didn’t need to spend on transport. The beautiful interior made it feel cozy, and the mosquito net ensured a comfortable sleep. Plus, the staff was super helpful. Highly recommend!

Unhygienic-wet used towels smelling of urine No WiFi . We got WiFi on the day of check out Host did not believe when we complained about it Bed too short for people beyond 5’5 Soldier at the gate was rude to us when we arrived a little late on the day of check in due to traffic jam. We had let the host know about checking in late. The host didn’t inform soldiers about our visit Host overcharged us. Used rates well over selling rates for USD to USh. 3800 conversion rate, dollar was selling at 3700 at Western Union Overall our experience was a nightmare A little renovation could help

Locating the place was quite difficult
We had an incredible stay. The place exceeded our expectations in every way. Immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable stay and great host This apartment had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen ,reliable WiFi, and all the essentials. It was also quiet and within walking distance to the Nile ,any great restaurants around and to mainstreet. The host was super helpful and allowed a flexible check-out, which made my stay even better. Highly recommend!

Nothing everything was as expected 10/10
I so much loved this place for the 3weeks stayed and everything needed was at hand plus great location , a balcony to sit , well equipped Kitchen it was a walking distance to the main road, source of the Nile. The host was very accommodating and the caretaker very cheerful and came to clean the house every two days which is amazing. I will definitely be booking my stay with Amaryllis Homes when coming to Jinja
