The location was optimal. It was nice for our short stay.

The staff were so understanding, especially Gloria and so welcoming. They really made me feel at home, felt safe and very comfortable Will definitely go back if I am back in the country. I definitely recommend it

Social atmosphere, easy to meet other travels, nice bar where locals are coming in the evening, nice and helpful staff

-too short bed in single room, it was impossible to sleep with strait legs, had to change the room to bigger one and more expensive where the bed was larger -single room tiny like a prison cell -some rooms are close to the street so it is noisy there, loud music in nearby bar till early morning on Saturday so take earplugs -second night there was no cold water in the shower (yes cold) so it was very difficult to take shower

I loved staying at Bushpig so much that I came back a second time. The location is central, the private rooms were very clean, and the reception can help to organize exciting activities during your stay. I especially enjoyed the free walking tour of downtown Kampala. The highlight of my stay was the staff who were exceptional and welcoming. They really do go out of their way to make you feel safe and at home. For instance, my friend lost his phone in an Uber during the middle of the night, and the team helped us to get it back. They also helped to organize transport to Jinja and called trusted boda bodas to take me around the city. Very grateful for this kindness and hospitality!

The hostel is at a great location, has a cozy common area and super friendly staff! The private rooms are big and clean.

Horrible place. Receptionists are unfriendly and arrogant. The rooms are dirty, the light runs 24/7 on the floor with glass doors to your room. Glass doors and windows are barely sealed and it’s impossible to sleep. For 50$/ night for Uganda this is a farce and unacceptable. Bed has bugs. Internet doesn’t work in room

A very nice place located in the most convenient location imaginable. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will most likely visit again. Gloria and the team were super helpful from the time the booking was confirmed.

Only things that could perhaps use a bit of tweaking is the quality of the hand wash in the bathroom/toilet and slightly more variety in the breakfast menu (perhaps at a couple of dollars more if needed).

Within walking distance to an excellent game restaurant; they have connections with good tour organizations and helped arrange a 'free city walking tour' (we could have booked online, but they made it easier); very well-staffed facility; I couldn't imagine anything in Kampala matching this. Very glad we booked here.
