Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandOne Minor thing: there is a bright light on the terrace of our room, which was illuminating the space at night. Unfortunately we could not switch it off and the curtains did not fully block it. Maybe add some additional curtains
The Hotel was one of our favourite stays in Uganda. It is located in a small village outside of Mbarara in a very calm area. The hotel has very nice gardens and a wonderful view over the Uganda countryside. The staff was very friendly and supportive. We wished that we could have stayed longer

QatarYou could hear the shutters to the restaurant being opened and closed but that was only for a short time in the morning and night. Everything else was good.
The architecture and the artwork was wonderful as well as the views from the back of the property. Near to Mbarara. Staff were welcoming and the food was amazing! Looking forward to see what the owners do with the place. The staff even went out of their way to find someone from a local gas station to fix our tyre puncture.

United StatesThere was nothing we didn't like. Everything exceeded our expectations.
The room was very very spacious, with a very comfortable king size bed. The staff were exceptional. Provided room service as it was raining and we didn't want to venture out to the dining area. It has an extremely large and varied menu at good prices. Wine and beer available too.

Richard and the team are great. They were very warm , accommodating and welcoming towards us. The location is just perfect with a country feeling yet also very close to the city centre. The scenery is just awesome, with mountain views, sunsets and sunrises. The camp fires were simply amazing. The catering was perfect, with a wide range of delicious dishes available on the menu and served on time. GKAT is recommended to all with good taste and we. Will certainly visit again.

We had a great stay at GKAT resort. Manager Richard and his super friendly staff made our stay amazing! It’s located just a few minutes outside the heart of Mbarara, has a great garden with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The chef cooks delicious food and the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. A crystal clear recommendation for anyone visiting this region. We will return! Did I mention the low prices and clean and comfortable spacious rooms?

United KingdomAll good!
Away from the noisy crowded city. Awesome views. GKAT resort is peaceful and quiet; big room, comfortable beds with hot water; friendly staff and good food! We really enjoyed our stay. The fire in the evening and the chairs around was great! Pork ribs and chicken tikka masala were delicious. And the Wi-Fi is fast! The host was happy to help at all times, they even walked with us to a big pond close to the resort.

United StatesThe food options were limited.
The location was excellent. It is just far enough from the noise of the city but close enough access to the city. The scenic view of the rolling hills and listening to the wildlife at night was soothing.

KenyaThe resort is approximately 15 minutes fron town. While this may seem far, it gave us a countryside feel and kept us away from the noise in town.
GKAT resort is the perfect spot to unwind. The place is serene and has awesome views. The rooms are quite spacious, and their breakfast will exceed your expectation. While there, be sure to try their pork ribs. The staff are courteous and ready to help. Mr. Richard is an amazing host, ready to help at all times. He recommended Mr. Theodore, a cab operator, who took us to various places around mbarara and to queen Elizabeth National Park. We definitely would want to be back to GKAT.

Safe and secure. Overnight security for added peace of mind. Easy to find, just off the road but wonderfully peaceful (no road noise). I’d highly recommend a stay here!

GermanyIt was absolutely amazing. I fell instantly in love with the beautiful and lovely garden (even though it was dry season, can't imagine how incredible it is in summer time). The stone walls give the whole place a unique warm look. We enjoyed the evening with a stunning view and in the evening with a camp fire and excellent company. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Must be a dream location for weddings. :)
