Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwedenNo mirror (only one small in bathroom). Took like 5 minutes before hot water arrived in shower, no hot water connected in sink. It was a bit unclear how to navigate to the hotel, both Google maps and Uber suggested the wrong street. However, there where signs which we missed initially.
Quiet, secure, good food (double burger) reasonably priced food and beer. Almost mosquito free. Balcony with adequate space. Good-size bed.

JapanI'm not sure why, but when I was drying my clothes on the balcony, the staff told me it wasn't allowed and dried them in a different place instead. I was worried that my clothes might go missing. The location is a bit inconvenient.
All the staff members are kind. It felt great to open the window and let in the nice breeze. After checking out, they stored our luggage and allowed us to stay in the lounge on the first floor until our bus time. There were local children nearby, and we played together.

NetherlandsHot shower did not work (not in the evening and not in the morning). It was the main reason I checked out. The hotel is located in a residential area with few restaurant options or a good supermarket within walking distance. I recommend to eat in the hotel as there are no other options with similar price and quality around. Perhaps good if you have your own car as they have a parking facility, but less so if you have to use public transport (boda).
Good breakfast (freshly prepared) with excellent coffee. Comfortable single room with attached bathroom, wifi and balcony. The hotel is kept clean. Friendly respectful staff.

KenyaThe breakfast was very limited it’s a la carte with 2 options only.They also only provide option of black tea or coffee .They need to diversify the breakfast menu and maybe have a buffet. They also need to train the staff better.They seem to have hired people with no experience in hospitality.The receptionist I found yesterday was not sure of the pricing and was grumpy.The cleaning gentleman asks to clean even when you are in the room.They are not bad however they just need training.
The hotel seems newly built the amenities are new and a bit modern compared to other Kampala restaurants. It’s also very clean,neat and well kempt. I had an issue with the staff but some are very friendly the few trained ones.The receptionist on 27/3/22 morning (unfortunately I didn’t get his name)was very willing to help and even guided me on directions .The lady at the restaurant is also very friendly.Kudos to the two they made my stay lovely.

In that way, we went to the wrong place in the city to find out we still needed to take an extra taxi. It is located in the Bulange neighbourhood and not near the Mengo palace.

I loved the staff. They were helpful and quick to respond. The chef was top notch and understanding is my situation when preparing meals (I was traveling with a toddler). The front office was also super friendly. The rooms were clean.
