Quiet location on Lake Victoria with beautifully decorated rooms and plenty of space to relax on the verandah or sitting room. Nothing was too much trouble - washing, helping to clean our muddy boots and preparing delicious breakfasts. Also had a great dinner here one night. Walking distance to the Sailing Club just up the street. James was a welcoming and friendly host. Rooms are large and very clean. Will stay again when in Jinja.

Nothing, everything perfect. Just a suggestion to put small table at the balcony for morning coffee

Everything was more than we expected. The host was great and helpful, we were running late because of the traffic and he waited for us. Breakfast was so delicious and huge portions. Small sitting area around fire pit is ideal for evening drinks. All in all best stay during our Ugandan trip. Thank you.

Nothing per se

A very friendly owner and the entire staff. Excellent breakfast (both option-wise and taste-wise). The upgraded room alloted to us was huge and very comfortable. View from the room (balcony) was very soothing and my only regret is that I could not stay longer. This property deserves a weekend stay because of the peace and quiet it offers.

The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast delicious. The group I brought with me felt extremely spoiled. We had wonderful service by all of the staff. Sure hope to return in the future!

The Jewel and the Lake is a real Jewel by the lake. Great views and ambience. Friendly and supportive staff. Good breakfast options. It’s quiet and very relaxing. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Super friendly staff and great breakfast. I have tried several hotels near this area and this is far the best one. Comfortable pillows, clean rooms and the roof fan really helps cool down the temperature in the room. There is a road just outside and this hotel is one of the few who actually blocks it off to get some privacy, view is great if booked with lake view and the balcony is big.

The road had an area with muddy puddles. This can be mitigated by redirecting guests to an alternative route An AC can be installed for hot seasons

We loved our stay at the Jewel and the Lake. The whole atmosphere was calm with beautiful views and very warm staff at the Bnb. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back.

There are train tracks just south of the property. There wasn't any noise, but I imagine there might be sometimes

I would have liked a more powerful shower. But that's not to say that the shower was bad.

James and Gloria were super friendly and accommodating of our needs. They even went beyond to offer us an upgrade. The breakfast was exceptional. We had a fabulous time. Would definitely stay again.

I was very happy with the stay, but would personally have preferred a mosquito net in the room.

A lovely home to come home to at the end of a busy day. The room was well furnished and the hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into making sure guests are comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

A beautiful house at a great location with direct sight on the lake. We felt very much home and well taken care of by the friendly personnel that made delicious breakfast for us after having chosen from many options of a menu each prior evening. The place is well protected and there is always someone around. The furniture and decor in the house are of great taste. I found it peculiar and kind of thinking with the forgettable traveller that the room had a variety of different sockets and adapters, which saved me since I forgot my adapter in Kampala :-)
