“Very unique and beautiful old property with great history. Chris, the host was very welcoming and gave me a lovely run down of the history and some places to visit in Hannibal. Really comfy bed and nice cooling system, which was perfect as it was really hot outside.”
“We originally booked a room with 1 Queensize bed and a sleep couch, but only learned at the hotel that we would need to prepare the couch ourselves. Thankfully, the receptionist was very forthcoming and offered us an alternative room with 2 beds. We appreciated the helpful and pragmatic attitude.
The hotel is well-maintained and a short drive from Hannibal's attractions. It is suitable for short as well as prolonged stays.”
“No bed bugs on inspection, and the room was generally quite clean. I wear flip flops/shower shoes in most budget stays as standard to prevent contracting infections, but I would almost have considered forgoing them in our bathroom as it looked pretty clean and the bathtub had surprisingly few stains.
The lobby had a no smoking sign whilst smelling of old tobacco BUT room had no lingering smoke smells so that was good. Check-in staff seemed a little odd (had to repeat things a few times, but perhaps he was struggling with my accent) but very friendly and efficient.
Everything in the room worked, appeared to have been renovated within the past 5-10yrs or maybe less, things didn't feel too dated or worn out. New-ish TV with normal channels but also Netflix/Disney/Amazon etc capabilities to use your own accounts on which is nice to have and a bit of a rarity in cheap motels.”
