I liked John and the property itself. It was clean, nice, and quiet as described. John is a great host and willing to go the extra mile. If I’m in that area, that’s where I’ll be staying. Definitely recommend that place to anyone looking.

Not within walking distance to the beach

The owner was very accommodating. Let us drop luggage off before the room was ready. He was was available if we needed additional information about Fort Lauderdale.

The place had a real "family" feel. Like you were staying with a a friend. Nothing fancy but everything you might need! Great value for the money. John was an excellent host.

I'm fairly tall, and it takes a bit more effort to get up from a low bed, so the bed could have been a little higher off the floor. Other than that, I really have no other complaints.

I really liked how it was situated just off the interstate, since I travelled around the area quite a bit. Neighborhood was nice and quiet without any loud bars or neighbors close by. Room was small but clean, perfect for a single occupant.

Everything was good no dislikes.

John was incredibly accommodating we did have a clogging issue in the bathroom but he promptly repaired it. He also allowed us access to his grill and the jacuzzi was amazing. John introduced us to his very sweet dogs. He also helped us get back from Walmart with our food. He’s an incredible host and when I’m in Florida again I’ll definitely be staying here as long as he’ll still have me - Sam

The location meant a longer drive to the beach, which was where we wanted to go. The highway was accessible but I think that area just has a lot of traffic problems. We preferred the other beach(es) we visited over Fort Lauderdale beach - try Del Ray beach for a better experience.

The room was nice, roomy, clean, and had good features/amenities. It felt like a safe, residential neighborhood. I really liked having a real refrigerator rather than a mini-frig. The host was very helpful and attentive, we had some minor issues and he resolved them quickly. We enjoyed our stay and felt the place was a great value.

Location was absolutely great. It was close to a lot of convenient places like drugstores, restaurants, 7 elevens, bus stop, walmart. Clean place with all you may need to make your stay a great experience. John has been one of the best hosts I've had.

John is a super accommodating host. Very safe, clean and geographically located close to everything. There is even a convenience store with authentic Spanish food or items needed. We had so much fun riding our bikes, hopping on the trirail and riding to Hollywood Beach for one of the best burgers ever at, Le Tub Restaurant. When we arrived back from our bike excursion, we relaxed in a large, super clean hot tub in a tropical oasis in the backyard. We loved the full size fridge to hold our beverages and food. We cooked fresh omelets and soups. This is an outstanding value for the price. We highly recommend John's place and will stay there again when we return to South Florida! (Also, I accidentally broke a glass food item I had brought from home. Next thing I know, John is back after purchasing a replacement one. That was so incredibly thoughtful.)

The Hot Tub wasn't working at the time I was there..

Love the House, and the host John was very nice and understanding (even though we broke a little rule lol). With that said it doesn't mean he gives you rules, but his apartment is on the front of his property so if you are coming in late after a night full of fun you have to enter the property quiet so the dogs won't wake up and so you don't wake up John wich was very understandable. Other than that Very comfortable and super clean, sad that the hot tub didn't work, but overall is a super nice and quiet place to spend a little vacation. I'm definitely coming back there if John allows me.. lol..
