A very good hotel with a nice location, just a few minutes’ drive to the park entrance. It’s quiet, comfortable, and clean. The only downside is that the bed is too soft for my taste, though most people probably prefer softer beds. The cleanliness is excellent, and the breakfast is also very good, although the variety of fruit is a bit limited.

There’s very little to criticize but I did find the pillows a bit too firm for my taste. The bed a fine and comfortable.

1872 Inn is a superb hotel located in a very quiet and accessible location in West Yellowstone very close to the entrance. The staff are all most friendly and knowledgeable and try their utmost to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The breakfast is excellent with many choices both hot and cold. Highly recommended!!

There was nothing to not like about this place. It’s the only place I would stay in West Yellowstone.

The breakfast was very good. Fresh eggs, a variety of breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, pastries and more. It’s a lovely setting and service was wonderful. As a bonus, there is a lovely trail right across the street for running or a morning hike before breakfast.

Some noise when the people upstairs were moving around. Room could be bigger.

The breakfast should’ve gone on till 10 and not ended at 9:30 as we missed it several times and it was a nice breakfast.

Very quiet and up to date place. A little bit out of the way from the eateries but is definitely walking distance to them. Will definitely stay here again!

After you have eaten at one of the restaurants and you are tired the walk back to the hotel seems a bit longer.

The property was very clean, modern with a rustic flare, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

The property is at the end of the road. That did not bother us but if you wanted to be in walking distance to town it is a little far.

Loved there mugs and decor, wish they would sell some of their exclusive items! It would be nice to have another chair in each room to sit and have a conversation or a small outside area to sit and have a glass of wine.

The staff was friendly, accomodations were clean and tastefully decorated, breakfast was a great asset and good, within a mile of yellowstone!

The female owner could be more friendly and talkative. They weren't rude just something we noticed.

1872 Inn was a nice experience the staff was amazing, the younger female owner could have been a little more friendly or talkative to myself and my wife. We are business owners ourselves and we treat every customer like we are employees at the business. Not a big deal just something we both noticed. There was an amazing front deak staff member I wish I remembered his name all we know he was from Jamaica. He along with the rest of the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcomed even the person attending or making up the room was friendly he only spoke Spanish but we could communicate with him. The Inn was very quiet at all hours of the day and night. The breakfast was good every morning. Just about anything someone would want from 6:30 / 7a.m. to 10a.m. Eggs,bacon, potatoes, 3 types of bread,doughnuts, oatmeal, bananas, oranges, cereal and more. OJ, milk, water. Microwave in the lobby so if you go out and order a large pizza take it back to your mini fridge then you can walk down and heat it up for lunch or a late night snack. The lobby is 24/7 along with the front desk staff. This was an amazing place to stay, there isn't a bar/ restaurant on sight but you can make a short walk to The Branch restaurant and bar is just 3 short blocks walk (2 minutes if that) they have a good Moscato wine, any liquor someone would want, and beer. 1872 Inn is like a home away from home. We live in a four thousand sqft home and never felt like the room was too small at 1872Inn, we didn't stay in the room very much since it's so close to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park we always had something to go see or just drive around the park. We plan on making another visit to West Yellowstone and we will pick the 1872 Inn to stay again the 5 minute drive to the park entrance was so convenient for us especially if someone is a morning person to avoid the long line the park experiences.

Everything! It was cozy and intimate! We loved the adults only concept! The staff, especially Nikolai and Jasser were exceptionally personable and CS oriented! We loved the breakfast!! It also smelled wonderful inside!
