Not really. It's better to be noticed that driving up the mountain is fun to me, but maybe not fun and a pretty good challenge to others especially during the snow season. Trees need to be trimmed because some branches fell down closely to my rental car : (

This is my first time in an Airbnb. I saw the good reviews and also found there is some possibility to see bears. so I booked it. The host was very nice with a bottle of wine to welcome our family and I am glad I didn't find a local wine in GA. The host also said never mind after I said I accidentally broke a wine glass. We cooked and saved on food. Cookware and utensils were enough for us. We enjoyed the hot tub during the cold weather. I did saw the back of a bear during the mid night when she climbed up the slop to the street. When I got into my car to chase, she was gone. Two young male neighbors said they saw 4 bears the day before taking advantage of the garbage bags. On the day we left, we saw trash bags torn most likely by bears. The most helpful thing will be a detailed note to show how to operate the hot tub, like filling or dumping the water. I filled the water myself, which was good since I didn't want to reuse the other group's water unless it was professionally treated.

I loved everything. The only thing to change is maybe new pillows on the bed. Other than that everything was FANTASTIC!

This cabin is extremely comfortable and a home away from home. The owner went above and beyond with all the little extras. Everything is updated and modern! Spa is a great amenity!

The chalet was beautifully decorated, was very clean and so relaxing to jump into the hot tub after a full day shopping or whatever your plans may be. It’s very easy to get down the mountain and into downtown Gatlinburg. The chalet also has a keyless entry making it so easy to enter which is especially handy if your hands are full and when you just don’t want to fidget with keeping up the keys or keycards. Discounts to some local businesses are also afforded to renters when showing proper credentials. It’s very obvious the owners keep up with this home and that guests are comfortable, even a nice bottle of wine greeted us when we got there. Checking in and out were very easy and we didn’t have to do the usual bed stripping etc like at other condos and homes we’ve stayed in. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely consider staying again.

The location was rough due to the weather. It was a very convenient location as it was close to downtown Gatlinburg but the drive on the mountain roads in the snow was STRESSFUL!!! After the 4 minute drive up and down the steep hills you are right downtown.

The chalet was BEAUTIFUL and very comfortable. It was also very clean and they had several necessary kitchen items which was helpful. The private hot tub was amazing and the wood burning fireplace was so cozy.

the only thing I was somewhat iffy about was the roads leading up to the place. Very scary at times— definitely don’t want to go up there at night for your first time accessing the place— owner warned me in advance though and my husband was able to navigate us up the mountain safely multiple times following the initial drive— and even at night :) great views on the way up at multiple spots.

I liked the space, the cleanliness, the homey look and feel. The extra touch of shampoos, hand soap, dish soap, things you would need but might not remember to pack. Umbrellas were provided for rainy days. The kids enjoyed having such big beds and not having to share. Was able to sign in to our Netflix account to enjoy playing Christmas movies on the living room TV. It only took us 10-12 min to come down the mountain and access a parking spot on the main strip (it’s $20 to park down there a day). It was super easy to get to all of the places we wanted to go from the cabin. Our family would definitely recommend the place :))

Please make sure that the person booking the chalet has the proper code to get in when they arrive. We had to go get better can opener for our meal and we had to get a potato peeler as well and a deeper dish to make a meal need bigger pans like cake pans but otherwise everything was good
