Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThat I didn't stay longer lol
Apparently there is new management and I can tell! A few renovations have been made since I was last there and I think it looks great. Wasn't a fan of having to purchase chairs and daybeds when you are staying there, but I guess that is standard at fancier hotels. The free ones were in the sun and my husband can't be in the sun for too long (bummer). However, the young lady Viviana who was our server was so sweet and nice and provided such great customer service that at that point I didn't mind paying for the chairs anymore lol. She recommended drinks and was so attentive. As for the check-in, Marty assisted us. He was really friendly too and took the time to show my husband some merch. The new Amigo Room is really nice and well done. I wish I would have spent more time in there. The hotel pool had a good DJ playing good tunes that weren't basic or too loud. That was def a plus. The room we got had a patio and close to the pool, so that was nice. The bed was so comfty and cozy. I love the room decor. Always a pleasure and will be back obv.

United StatesI'm not sure if The Ace was an old hotel/motel before they remodeled but the side of the hotel facing the street (the side with the king rooms, i.e., cheapest rooms) has the heaviest doors known to man! So starting when the first person on this side wakes up and leaves their room the doors start SLAMMING shut behind them. Waking you up from a deep sleep if you're not a morning person. And they don't stop as people get up to grab coffee, breakfast or head to the pool. Starting at probably 6:45 am and not stopping until I finally decided to get up at 8:30 no more than 5 doors slammed, waking me up every time.
Pool is always fun, and the staff getting drinks is great! The problem was it was so crowded! It was over 100 degrees and everyone was in the pool. I don't think the hotel was very full but the pool was. I think they open it up to the public making it stuffed!

United StatesBecause it’s such a hotspot, the pool was overwhelmingly busy, difficult to get a lounge chair, and the pool was so murky from all the people in it that it may have given my friend a rash (can’t confirm, just a contextual deduction).
Very cute and cool, beautiful views, room was small but cozy and loved the bed. When the hotel isn’t crowded, the pool and facilities are very lovely.

United KingdomThe rooms are very poor quality overall especially during peak season pricing. The “tent” walls in bedrooms means it never feels clean and bedroom doors do not fit their frames (in 3 rooms we have stayed in) meaning you hear and smell everything from neighbours. Water pressure in bathrooms compared to other hotels in the area is very poor.
It’s a great vibe, cool spot and has great aesthetics in common areas

United StatesThe property is in increasingly dire need of refreshing, our patio room was a little dingy, the record player didn’t work and when we called reception to find out if we could get it fixed, we were told it was mainly there for aesthetic purposes. The beds are very comfortable, but the rooms are truly tiny and you feel like almost like you’re glamping. Most worryingly I was left with a $350 smoking charge even though no cigarettes or any thing were smoked in the room — it turned out that lighting a candle was the cause of charge and I’m still trying to get it reversed. Also, worth noting the property has shifted in terms of clientele, there are a lot of families there now, elder millennials who probably used to go there in the mid 2000s are now coming with their young children and that has really changed the energy around the pool. Especially annoying was the tendency of certain families to lay claim on entire sections of sunbeds and then disappear so that there was nowhere for anyone else to sit. It’s not necessarily a problem, but there are a lot of very young children around at all times and it doesn’t have the same adult vibe that it used to. Also, the staff just seem fairly sleepy, and Service takes a long time, not worried about that too much, but just worth pointing out.
There is always good energy at the Ace hotel, a sense of fun and celebration around the pool, very welcoming and relaxed. And an excellent location in the heart of Palm Springs, but not in the deeply touristy part. Also great cultural programming remains at the heart of this brand.

United StatesThe hotel used to be such good value, but since adding a compulsory resort fee this place is expensive and there lots of other hotels that offer better value in the area. My hope is that the recent renovations do not increase the price. There are so many good hotels in PS. They need to stay competitive. Still love the place!
Stay here once a month for work. Laid back with good staff. Comfortable rooms. Great hotel, well located.

United StatesThere was a lot of construction going on, the hot tub was closed, along with part of the lobby and outdoor bar near the pool area. There was a two day private event happening right outside of our room which was very loud. In general there was a lot of disarray due to the renovations, and the chairs and tables by the pool could use updating.
The location is great and we had a room with a patio and fireplace! It was a perfect little oasis which we loved. The restaurant is also very good. Coffee delivery was an awesome touch and the staff by the pool was top notch. The pool are is fun and drinks were tasty.

United StatesRoom service was incredibly expensive ($20 for 2 cups of black coffee, like $15 for a single domestic beer). The room was pretty loud at night on a Saturday night but expected).
The pool was awesome, the entertainment was awesome, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was really creative and cool, and the AC was incredible. The location was nicely centralized and easy to find and park at, and everything on the property was clean and kept up.

United KingdomService around the pool and bars can be patchy. Menu in the kings highway is limited and a bit boring. Outside eating isn't really a thing - weird. No coffee machine in the rooms - so add $25 a day for a couple of coffees in bed via room service
True oasis in the desert. Cool without being cliquey Margaritas on a sun bed around the pool - what's not to liked
