Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Clean rooms, golf carts in good condition and handy, great location. Nick was very responsive to our needs and questions. I would highly recommend and we intend to be repeat customers.

The golf cart we had was pretty slow compared to others we have rented. The room we were in, Slovak, had an outlet in the bathroom that didn't work.
Loved the convenience of the location to everything. The service we received after hours when my husband lost our room key was over and beyond. Thank you for being so accommodating.

The room had a mini fridge but no microwave. Also it would be nice if the fridge was set on something because it was on the floor and hard to access.
The location was very nice we were within walking distance of everything.

Stairs up to our room. Poor drainage in our sink
The location was THE BEST. You can literally walk everywhere. The rooms were very clean and spacious; however our bathroom sink did not drain properly so that was a little issue; plus is you gave issues with stairs let them know when you book. Two of us were put upstairs; and the steps were pretty steep, plus dragging a suitcase.

We don't have anything negative to say about Ahoy Inn. The owner was eager to make our stay a great one. The inn is conveniently located within a short walk to downtown Put In Bay.
Our room was clean and comfortable We were able to rent a golf cart from the Inn, which was very convenient, the owner was kind enough to rent the golf cart to us after the check out time at a low charge! Ahoy Inn is definitely a place we'd stay again in the future!

I didn't like coming back to the room late cause the reverse on our golf cart had this really annoying continously been and I felt like we were waking up the whole neighborhood
We went with a group of friends and Dennis was so accommodating. He had us all in one building. He made gave us a little tour of the place and let us know of there was anything we needed he was there to help.The rooms were amazing. The beds were comfortable. It's in a great location.. but the welcome we got from Dennis really is what will bring us back. He did a spectacular job. Thank you Dennis 😊

The only issue we had was the little mini fridge in our room was broken.
We loved everything about the property. The house was so cute. It is the perfect location super close to the town. We liked being able to rent a golf cart directly through the property.

I cannot say anything bad. It was a very nice place.
Awesome location. Nice rooms with a porch/balcony. No elevator, so pack lightly! Also, golf cart rentals from the owner are priced well for the area.

It's basically a hotel room, didn't have a B&B feel. Would love to have had a place to sit and have a meal.
Loved the proximity to downtown and yet it's located on a quiet street. It was my first time staying at an B&B and enjoyed the experience.

This is not a negative comment, but a suggestion. You might put direction on how to run the television. We do not stream at home, so it took a little while to figure it out. I did figure it out.
There was no breakfast, coffee in the room. Nick was very helpful, informative, and personable. He gave many suggestions on where to go and where to eat. I had marked there was no kitchen facilities, but there was a microwave in the lobby that a person could use. We did have a refrigerator in the room.
