Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanCaution about the airport shuttle. I was told it’s on demand and 15 minutes waiting. But I had to wait more than 35 pmin. When I went down to the lobby at 4:15, for departure, I was told the shuttle has just left, and it’ll come back in 15 min or so. But there was no sign the shuttle came back from PDX after 4:30, so the guy at the front (he was very nice) made a call to the shuttle driver that one customer is waiting. When the shuttle arrived, the driver, she said I’ll not leave until 4:45. After that, the flight companies’ staff came down and finally we left the hotel after4:50. And arrived PDX 4:58. I left early because I wanted to look around the PDX, but there was no time for that. It’s really American. So better to see more time for the shuttle transportation.
Huge cozy bed. Near the PDX. Room is clean.

United States of AmericaSome parts of the room looked "tired". Think trim, caulking, edges of the carpeting. The shower controls were loose and came off in my hand.
The bed was comfortable. The roller shades blocked enough light to sleep very well.

United States of AmericaShower stall is on the smaller side and water pressure is lacking. Sink water pressure was too much, especially for the type of sink installed. Toilet paper roll holder needs to be faced in opposite direction so the roll doesn't go jumping off and rolling away from you. While not important to me, there is no dresser or closed closet. Bathroom area has an open closet for a handful of hanging items and open shelves for storage of other things. No room service available.
This is a nice, quiet, and clean hotel operated by Marriot Bonvoy just outside of the Portland Airport and is frequented by airline personnel. Planes fly directly overhead as they come in for landing, however, it's barely noticeable when in the room. The room itself is a good size for 2 queen beds, a desk area, and a properly sized flatscreen TV for the space. TV bonus is you can use your Netflix and other streaming service logins free of charge so you're not stuck with basic cable or have to pay to watch movies. Shower (no tub) is outfitted with full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers filled by housekeeping as needed. AC works well and keeps room cool. Beds and bedding were clean and in good condition. Mattresses were on the firm side, but not uncomfortably so. Free coffee/tea setup in the room with the usual options. There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the property, but since I didn't need it, I am unsure of the reliability of signal strength. Hotel lobby has a bar open during the evening hours along with a small cafe area for all-day fare. Multiple restaurant and shopping options are within walking distance (Target, Ikea, Best Buy, Ross, Wendys, Chipotle, Red Robin, etc.). Free shuttle service to/from PDX is always a plus and is available 24/7.

United States of AmericaThis year, however, I was informed there was a $12 parking fee for overnight customers. In the big scheme of things $12 doesn't seem like much but after paying $184 for a room it rubbed me the wrong way.
I stayed at the Portland Aloft last year and decided to stay this year also. Receptionist Heidi and Taylor were very friendly and informed me of all amenities.

The staff is excellent, I lost my glasses at the front desk, they gave them back to me. My partner placed his computer in a different room (they changed room for us because one window blind does not work) they found it and promised to ship it back to us, Great experience with the services.

United States of AmericaBoth staff and lobby/lounge were very stark and unwelcoming. Modern, utilitarian design that felt more like a dormitory. Bathroom very small. No info about any available facilities in the room or provided when given my key. One of the oddest hotel stays I've possibly ever had. I do believe the concept was well intentioned but I found it to be poorly executed.
Location was better than most other PDX hotels. Good proximity to MAX, restaurants and shopping. Room was a good size. Interesting concept with full bar and live entertainment in the lobby.
