The shower in the main bath room didn't work. Had issue with hot water when taking shower in 2 bathrooms at the same time (looks like a small tank). Need some repairs, the deck is tilted. An older cabin which may need a little fixing. Didn't receive the checkin instructions from booking.com. Had to message the host and call the 800 number.

The location was great. Very cozy cabin. We spent most time in family room which was great. Had tons of games. Messaging with host was great. They were prompt in responding back.

The house has a leaning foundation and the beds were very squeaky and not comfy.

    Location. Close to ski mountain

There is some definite cleaning up that needs to happen. There is a rusty old piece of a towel bar still hanging in the shower downstairs, and the knob is very loose making it difficult to adjust temperature. *The mattresses are showing their wear, the downstairs full bed is lumpy and soft. *The upstairs queen mattress has a dip in the middle, the twin beds were fine. We ended up sleeping in all of them trying to get a comfortable night's sleep. *The middle cabinet door in the downstairs bathroom is falling off it's hinges. *There are no fireplace instructions, we had to search to find the little on/off button on the side. *The keyless entry is nice (so you don't have to worry about keeping track of a key), but the directions do not include the bit about pushing the top button after entering the code. We figured it out on our own as the phone support was no help. *The kitchen was incredibly unorganized (I fixed that), and there are pans that need to be thrown out as they are not sanitary to cook with. *There is a garbage compactor that was not emptied prior to our arrival, it was smelly. Garbage refuse is not on site, it must be driven into town (3 minute drive) to a bear safe dumpster by the local grocery store. *The full bed downstairs had a comforter with holes/tears in it.

The sauna is DREAMY, and wonderful to come home to after exploring the wilderness, even in August it was never "hot", and the sauna was a fun treat at the end of the day. The cabin is located very close to restaurants, stores and the ski resort. It is an older cabin that really gives you the Alaska feel, it is not luxury, but comfortable enough for a short or long stay. The kitchen and living spaces are large and there is room to spread out. The kitchen has most everything you need for cooking a small or large meal. There is a dedicated parking space for one, possibly two cars. There are neighbors close by, but it still felt private and the area is very quiet. We highly recommend you go to Basecamp for a meal, great food and staff! The hosts provide lots of clean towels, blankets and pillows. They also provide a starter set of coffee, dishsoap, laundry soap and several days worth of shampoo/conditioner/body soap. There is no cable, but the DVD library is large and the WiFi worked well.
