Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaQuite old facilities. Tiny strangely situated shower / toilet area. You walk through the bathroom going from living room to bedroom.
Fun extras, like DVD library, outdoor gas fires to cook marshmallows and sit and visit. Bed was comfortable, and there were cozy white robes.

United States of AmericaOregon Coast hotels are always overpriced, but for nearly $200/night in the off season the lamps should have working bulbs and the outlets provided for USB ports should be "live". It is also not "close to the beach" unless you are a bird. It is a fairly long walk winding thru a neighborhood, then once reaching the beach access you find a winding, narrow set of maybe 100-150 steps. It is impossible to pass anyone coming the opposite direction... especially if you have a dog. So, if you have older parents, smaller kids, beach gear, etc it is not a access point you will like.
Cute hotel that has been upgraded and even though right on Hwy 101, it is set back enough you do not hear any traffic. Very nice "amenities room" to pick up extra blankets, coffee, supplies, ice, etc. Also a cute little restarant and bar. We di dnot eat, but did imbibe and sit around one of the several fire pit areas.

United States of AmericaThe only downside was the shower. It was pretty tiny. Keep hitting our elbows on the walls while showering. Unfortunately nothing can really be done about fixing that. But even with the small bathroom it wasn't enough to really bother us. We would gladly stay again!
The atmosphere was amazing! As soon as we got there we sat by the fire pit and relaxed. It was a wonderful addition to have a s'mores kit available to guests. I indulged and had a couple of marshmallows which I hadn't done in years. The little touches and unique decor was a great thing to add to the overall experience. We took a walk around the little forest area for mini golf and the courtyard. Each area had cute or interesting things to look at. The room was exactly what we needed and the beds were very comfortable!

United States of AmericaParking isn't spectacular if it's busy, but it's not too horrible.
We were treated like family. The owners were there, came out and introduced themselves, helped us build a fire. Very hospitable. They were there if we need anything and it was just a very welcoming place. Very cozy and felt like home. Well decorated, great courtyard, excellent game room and amenities room. Smores ready to go, multiple fire pits, cornhole ready to go. Just an overall very friendly and great place to stay.

United States of AmericaNo ocean view, but in many ways was superior to an ocean view, such as the noise, wind and cold feel of being close to ocean.
This is the cutest property to visit, nice amenities and a real cozy, friendly feel. They are thoughtful of the “little things”, such as the multiple outdoor fire/gas pits. It’s like a mini resort.

I looked for a motel in my price range. The Anchor Inn was a step back in time, in the nautical world. It is charming yet comfortable. I wanted to take a few things home with me, they were awesome I had the best Ceasar salad I've had in years.

United KingdomRooms could do with an update in terms of furniture and it was a little expensive for quite a tired room & bathroom. Walls were pretty thin so you could hear people walking around/talking.
