The only thing that was not great was the construction going on across the street. I think people with rooms on that side of the hotel should be informed there will be construction noise during the day. It was barely noticeable in the room, but when sitting outside, it was loud. (Still, not louder than it is in Brooklyn where I live!)

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Anchor. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The pool is sparkling. I got a room with two queen beds for a friend and me. The room itself isn't very big but that's fine with me since we don't spend much time in the room anyway (except to relax and sleep). There's everything I need in the room so that's all that matters. The chairs outside the room are great for reading, sipping on coffee or adult beverages, daydreaming, and relaxing. Super close to the boardwalk & beach and bars/restaurants in the area.

We had 2 rooms, one of the rooms had no hot water in the shower. Told front desk twice about it and was told to just turn the knob slowly and it should work. It did not. No one ever came up to check.

We had a great stay! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, perfect for our family. One of the things we really appreciated was the peaceful, family-oriented atmosphere — it was nice no yung kids partying. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

Slightly squeaky bed, TV was too loud on the lowest volume so couldn't watch TV at night as I didn't want to disturb the neighbors. Toilet was really close to the wall so was a bit awkward as I'm tall.

Should have a bar or hook by the bathroom sink, for hanging a hand towel. Also need a replacement carafe for the coffee maker. I was disappointed the first morning when I couldn't make coffee, because the carafe to the coffee maker was missing. No major issues. Staff is sweet and helpful, and would have probably fixed these 2 minor issues if I had remembered to mention them during my stay.

5 minute walk to the beach. Very quiet, clean family- run place. No loud parties at night. Nice, little ,clean pool. Comfortable beds. Air conditioning, toilet, shower, all kitchen appliances are newer and in excellent working condition.

I didn't like that we had to go get our own towels and the garbage was full I had to go ask for bags to change out the cans. No one even came in and checked the room, the floor was covered with sand.

The location was perfect you could walk to the beach a 7/11 was very close for coffee. The owner was very friendly.

I picked a room through booking.com and when I got there the room I picked was not what was given to me. I was told by the owner that if I wa Ted a specific room I should have contacted them directly. I told the owner I specifically picked that room because it had 2 rooms seperate from eachother and I was traveling with my son and daughter. An offer to move was made but I would have to pay more. I refused.

- The Motel is pretty old, if you are stay-in-the-hotel person, pass by - there is a central police / fire dmp station right next to Motel so sometimes you hear the siren and also there isn't much to look at outside of your room

TV could have been set up to come on immediately with the remote or at least provide instructions for it's operation. More towels than one per person for the stay could have been provided. Perhaps just two sets each?

My mattress was so stiff/firm. My wife's mattress was much more comfortable and not stiff. There were two different mattress types. I'm not sure if that was on purpose. The room was a bit cramped and small. The shower was clean but very tiny. Overall, though, a good value for the money.

The location was great. The rate was fair. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The bathroom had hand soap, body wash, and conditioner in dispensers.

Ive been going to the ancor for a few years now multiple times a season....the family that owns it is great ..the rooms are clean and pretty much the best your going to get for the price point . The location is great as its right behind the police station 2 blocks off the boardwalk

The room is very small and does not have a coffee maker. Although there is a 7-11 one block away, I would have loved to be able to make my own.

The location for the price! 2 blocks to the beach, the water park, and the ride section of the boardwalk! I had 2 young children with me, ages 3 and 4, and both were able to handle walking even after a day at the beach and night on the boardwalk! Right next to the police station, so it also made me feel safe walking at night.

the rooms are a little dated and not 5 star quality but that was to be expected... there definitely could be minor renovations made and a little more diligence when cleaning but the location and price really make it worth it...

less than a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk/ocean... a lot of activities to do within walking distance... the staff was also incredibly kind and helpful when needing assistance.

Price was very expensive. Outdated kitchen, fixtures. Beds were not to comfy.

The anchor motel has a convenient location. It is located a couple of minutes from the board walk. The apartment was clean. Some of the items can be updated as it was very outdated. Staff is very friendly and accommodating and always on site so I felt very safe there with my family. Communication was excellent. Parking was close to room. I would visit again.
