Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaShower and bathroom quite small. Was really looking forward to a nice shower at the end of the day, but due to the configuration, the shower was very narrow, and the bathroom not enough space to get dressed in.
Good location, nice size bedroom/ family room. Loved the rooftop terrace with enclosure. Was expecting a dome like the photos, but this still worked.

United States of AmericaSomeone was smoking on the floor below us & the smoke came in through vents (thankfully only 1 cigarette each night). We told security both nights but they weren’t able to do anything about it. It would be great if there was some way to stop people smoking- there are no smoking signs on every floor
Wonderful location in the middle of everything. Short walk to subway stations for getting to downtown & uptown. Henry is a wonderful host- VERY attentive & took care of our requests. Fantastic to have free luggage storage on our last day before collecting our car, which was parked in a parking building just a 3 minute walk away. The only reason I didn’t give facilities a 10 was because the 2 elevators are originally (which is kind of cool) so very small & slow & sometimes 1 didn’t work, which caused traffic jams to get to our room on the 11th floor. But this was a minor inconvenience. Phenomenal to have a TERRACE with a view of the Empire State Building! It was VERY cozy having 6 people in the same room but we appreciated being able to have such a great value for money place to stay, that was clean, nicely decorated, & quiet in such a great location. Would definitely stay there again

United States of AmericaThe only issue was they open their office from 9am till 5pm ...so if you come to check in after 5pm a key is left for you and you finish the check in process the following day after 9am. My family joined us after 5pm and the next morning we all left before 9am and were not expecting to return till after 5pm, so my family almost had to return to finish their check in. Thankfully they allowed her to finish check in on the 3rd actual day, but we had to wait at the hotel till after 9am for them to do so, which cut into our plans a little. There is no housekeeping but if you ask the front desk for anything they help you out. Also you have to remove your own trash but the trash bin is right down the hall and we had no issues with smell like others have posted. These are little things that weren't really that big of a deal to us.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our flight arrived at 9am and check in wasn't until 3, but they held our bags for us while we toured around the city and actually had our room ready and available for us at 1pm to check in! On check out day, we had a late flight, so they held our bags while we again walked around the city, after a 1 hour late check out on a busy weekend! The rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean and plenty of towels. The rooftop patio was nice with the heated igloo, it was pretty cool! They also really went out of their way to accommodate us during the booking process. A simple call to them with any concern I had, they were more than happy to help!

United KingdomDid not like the shed on the balcony. It was advertised as a cosy dome, that you would be able to see the views of new york. Instead we got a rickety, drafty shed, with 'frosted' plastic making it impossible to make the most of the views.
The hotel location is superb. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was on the snug side. Loved that we had a balcony area. Late ish checkout. Free luggage storage. Tha bathroom was small but the shower worked great and we always had hot water

United States of AmericaThe room was a little tight for the 6 of us but that was to be expected. It took a while for the elevator to come up to the 12th floor as well at times.
I loved how accessible and central it was to all the places we wanted to visit. The patio was beautiful and the customer service by Henry and his team was exceptional.

SwitzerlandThe room is rather small. We were a family of 4 with lots of luggage - could just about fit everything. 6 people only works if you have very little luggage. The air conditioning is placed just above one of the beds and rather loud. We had to turn it off at night
Communication ahead of arrival worked very well, key was ready there for us at the front desk, even if reception was closed. The big bonus of this room is the little roof terrace with a view of the Empire State Building - really enjoyed that! Location is very central - we walked there from Moynihan Train Hall/Penn Station. We could leave our luggage with the reception on our departure day which we appreciated. Overall we enjoyed our stay there!

United States of AmericaThe reception area is unexpected and a bit strange but now that I understand how it works, I am totally comfortable with it.
The entry age reception was strange and felt sketchy and a little unsafe. It definitely was not a typical hotel experience. But upon getting to our studio Penthouse (with outdoor space!) it all made sense and it was wonderful! Clean, bright, comfortable for our family of 4. It was terrific and we would definitely stay again.

United States of AmericaAs mentioned previously, I booked this room for the balcony. I was disappointed to find out that we couldn’t use this space after 10pm without threat of penalty. The reasoning was due to a city noise ordinance but many neighbors were excessively loud inside after 10pm. It seemed unfair to restrict balcony access for this reason.
The location was perfect and the view of the Empire State Building was amazing. The main reason I chose this location was the outside balcony. It was such a life saver to have space to spread out.

FranceBecause it is not exactly an hotel, the service is not exactly the one of an hotel: reception desk was open only from 9am to 5pm, there was only 1 elevator going up to our floor (12) and we had to take the stairs to go down each time otherwise the wait was very long; the staircase is actually a bit creepy and not very clean. The room was very small so there is hardly any space for opening a suitcase (but we had light backpacks so it was fine). The TV is strangely located and can't be viewed from most beds. There is no way to set the room temperature, it was a bit chilly during the night. Overall, during the peak season (Christmas), it is expensive for what it is worth (no good value for money), but that's everywhere in NYC during this period.
The location and the view from the terrace are exceptionnel. And let's be honest: it is almost impossible to find a room for 6 in New York, and we are the kind of people ready to pay more to be all together in the same hotel room. The staff at the reception were very friendly, and communication by message through booking.com made it very easy for check-in / check-out. Beds are comfortable, the room is clean and well decorated (modern).

United States of AmericaThis is a non-smoking building but the a/c was occasionally blowing out what smelt like cigarette smoke. The kind booking agent had it investigated, reminded people in neighbouring apartments that it's non-smoking, and had an air-purifier brought to our room. Despite this, we kept getting a smell and ended up using towels to cover up the unit. A small "didn't like" was the glass door leading out to the balcony doesn't have a curtain so our room was bright all night. But, it's NYC so we weren't expecting it to be super dark anyway.
The location can't be beaten for its central location, just near Macy's on 34th, subway a one minute walk, lots of restaurants, sights, and cafes nearby. Plus, the added bonus was having a private outdoor area with a view of the Empire State Building. Our family of four each had our own bed (two doubles and a twin bunk bed) plus a modern, clean bathroom with a wonderful shower, toilet sink, and cabinet to store our toiletries. One big like was the on-site agent (Henri) who dealt with any issues quickly, and was so friendly, helpful, and professional.
