Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesI know it’s a shared toilet/ BR, hopefully they can maintain the cleanliness of toilet/ BR. Other than that, everything’s clean. We like Dave’s paintings specially nature & abstract. Though artistic, only human artwork that feels creepy for me.
This is the 2nd time that we stayed and this time, we like the room that we got in 2nd flr. Cozy vibe, roomy, beddings and pillows smells clean. I like the nature and abstract paintings on the wall except human images, it’s artistic but for me it’s creepy. This hostel met our needs, we’re comfortable and it’s decent at a great price. Feels like we’re staying in friends’s home. The location is quiet and pretty little town, close to White Mountains.

United StatesStayed in room 5 downstairs (enter through yellow door). Small mini fridge was crowded, so maybe a larger fridge would help. Only a minor comment. Honestly wonderful place to stay.

United StatesMy favorite place to stay overnight before a hike. Incredible value, and it has all that I need: a comfy bed, a shower, and a kitchen (even though I didn’t use it this time).

United StatesNothing, I had a great stay.
This was exactly what I needed for a quick night of sleep before an early morning of hiking! It’s not fancy, but I had a private room, comfy bed, and a place to make tea and a quick breakfast in the morning. Both the host and his cat (I only met one of the cats) are super friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

United StatesHonestly there was nothing that I found particularly wanting. Not sure what to write here. The place was all I need from a hostel—a cheap but clean and fairly comfortable place to crash.
Great price if you don’t plan on spending much time in bed (for example, if you’re in the area for a night of stargazing). Clean and comfortable.

United StatesIt would have been more comfortable to receive clearer instructions on how to find the keys, perhaps with an attached photo. I had to bother the host, but thankfully, he helped me. It would also be more comfortable if there were better soundproofing, although that might not be possible in this building. Nonetheless, I appreciate your efforts to make our overnight stay as comfortable as possible.
An excellent place for the price. This hostel had everything necessary—a comfortable bed, toiletries, a heater for those who get cold, warm water in the shower, a kitchen for those who needed it, an iron and ironing board, a communal table for meals or work, as well as a coffee machine and other kitchen essentials. A special thanks for the free parking, clean bedding, and towels. There was even a TV in the room and a convenient outlet for charging my phone.

United StatesAs stated, I had NO complaints! Worked out perfectly for me!
Hostel was easy to find, emailed entry-access instructions were perfect, and my two "roommates" (one man, one woman independent of each other) were delightful. The hostel was squeaky clean, with large bed rooms (multiple comfortable single beds, not bunks), and multiple clean, fully functional, perfectly acceptable toilet and shower facilities just down the hall from the bed rooms. All fresh bedding and towels/washcloths were provided. Could not complain about anything/anyone I encountered during my one-night's lodging, and I would definitely stay at the Art Gallery Hostel again when I return to that area of the Northeast. And, lastly, the price per night's lodging was extremely attractive by comparison with all other area accommodations!
