We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The place is an old, charming, 3-story building (no elevator), where the top floor was a conservatory for breakfast. It's located across the street from the beautiful Elms mansion and about a 10-minute walk to downtown. We stayed in the standard room with a king bed, which was pretty comfy. The shower and AC felt great after walking around town for hours. Overall, the place was nothing fancy but great for a 3 day stay.

The location is fabulous - right across the street from The Elms and just minutes away from downtown. The view from the breakfast room is gorgeous; the breakfast was delicious, and Heidi was super hospitable! Would happily stay there again when we are next in Newport!

United StatesMy only complaint was the garden area and the seating area outside was neglected. If spruced up a bit it would be another lovely inviting spot for guests.
I love all the vintage touches throughout the Inn and the very homey feel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and spacious. The location was great and easy walk to the mansions or the center of town. My favorite thing about the Inn was the breakfast. A made to order breakfast your choice of eggs, French toast, pancakes and it was absolutely delicious. There are homemade muffins and cookies and each breakfast comes with Greek yogurt topped with strawberries and blueberries. The breakfast room was above the tree tops with lovely views.

Cute smallish room, clean and nice bathroom. Bed is big and comfortable. Breakfast is huge!! Walking distance to all the mansions and cliff walk. Restaurants and cute shops near. It's good that they offer free parking as it would have been hard to find a spot otherwise. Very easy self check-in at late night.
