Expensive. Could be better equipped. Comforter would be nice instead of standard sheets and thin blankets. Soffit lights right outside windows make the place look good at night from the street but are annoying from in the room. Forces you to close the blinds at night so light doesn’t come in. Shower no good for anyone over 6 feet tall. Textured sidewalk to entrance was annoying because we could hear everyone’s roller suitcases click clacking up the path through our window.

There are no drinks or food served onsite. The drink machine only took dollar notes. Rooms need a little modernisation. Bottled water in room would be a nice touch.

Super friendly staff, Hotel in great location, close to tranquil local town, with small shops and restaurants. spotless clean. Nice pool and hot tub and nice outdoor area if the weather holds. Hotel smells nice and soft non intrusive music plays during the day. Coffee maker in room if you like coffee.

Spotless rooms. Friendly staff and a good location accessible to the other towns in Door County. Adults-only, so this is a great hotel for couples. Cherry farms and best in-class, award-winning cheese maker literally 5 minutes up the road. Great spot for a low-key, romantic getaway.

They use water softener and my sensitive skin doesn't like it. And we only had a couple of washcloths. When we asked for more we were given 2. But overall it was good and I would definitely stay there again

There is nothing negative to say about The Ashbrooke.

The Ashbrooke was the ultimate couples' place to stay. The facilities were beyond clean. The staff was cleaning the outside furniture every day. Our room was beautiful, well appointed and large. I told the front desk staff that the hotel falls in the top 2-3 places we've ever stayed. The grounds were well kept and lush. The thing that struck us most was the fact that there were no vacancies for the biggest part of our stay, yet you would hardly know there was anyone else there. It was SO quiet! We really enjoyed the fire pit and met some very nice couples there. They did offer muffins, juice and coffee in the lobby daily and we took advantage of that a couple of times. It's nice if you don't want to get ready and go out for breakfast. It was only a short drive to everywhere and ideal if you don't want to be in the busier and more congested areas of Door County. Did I mention, the Ashbrooke doesn't allow children under 16? All we saw were couples, so I expect that is what is normally the case. So, if you are looking for a wonderful hotel experience in Door County, reserve at the Ashbrooke. You won't regret it!

The pool room was steamy hot and I did not feel I could enjoy a swim there. I usually enjoy a swim at the end of the day, but I wouldn't have liked to swim in a room so hot I didn't want to breathe the moist air.
