Problems with room locks, one lock was broken so we accessed both rooms through one door.

Bed was hard and squeaky. Flat pillows. Not enough blankets. No blackout curtains. Stairs up to the 2nd are steep and dangerous if you have any mobility issues. Smoking room stinks (of course, but it's weird they even have a smoking room.

The location was great. The bathtub was big enough for a soak. Both the refrigerator and microwave worked fine.

The blanket felt like a thicker sheet. Froze my ass off. The light outside made it hard to know if it was day or night even with the curtains closed. Put in an extra blanket above the closet and put a dimmer on the light. Still have some light for saftey but tone it down a bit. Other than that it was great.

Absolutely no frills. No bath mat, no rug in the room, just a bare floor, no luggage rack, 3 hangers on the hanging bar, the worst pillows ever. (Even the 2 e yea pillows we asked for and received were pretty bad.)

Be careful when you book, they gave me a smoking room which stank. Didn’t know smoking rooms were a thing. Very worn down hotel, the facilities are really not worth the money

When we checked in, the girl at the front desk was a little snarky. The outward appearance of the motel was dingy and looked a little worse for wear. The bed was too firm but that is just a preference thing, I'm sure. I don't know what was going on but it smelt like raw sewage around the motel.

For the price that we paid, I expected to have shampoo/ conditioner, but only had bars of soap. Additionally, the pillows were flat and there was no extras in the room. The bed was firm and made horrible noises if you moved. We found a partial eaten dog biscuit behind the door when we checked in so not sure how thorough the cleaning was. We were told by our neighbors they found a roach in their dog food.

We stayed here since allowed pets but not sure if worth it.

The bathtub is way too small for me. I'm a handicapped person and it was difficult for me to get into the bath. The bathroom is way too small for me.

The location is perfect. The bed was firm. The pillows could be larger. I was trying to watch TV from the bed but the pillows were very uncomfortable.

Although I requested a ground floor unit with my booking, on check-in I was told that because I booked through Booking.com instead of direct with Motel 6, they wouldn't honor the request. Also, the curtains on the window did not fully block the hallway light so the room never got dark which made it difficult to sleep. This was the most expensive Motel 6 I've stayed in - likely surge pricing due to the holiday weekend.

The room was clean and serviceable. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The property is right by the water in Astoria. It was easy to find and get in and out. The motel was pet friendly.

The remote did not flip to TV. This is true in most motels. The remotes do not work well and there are no instructions on how to use them.

The bed was so uncomfortable, and only one pillow each for my husband and myself. I didn't sleep and was in a lot of pain. A boulder would have been more comfortable
