I know they are renovating but it was hard to know what was due to that verses what it is going to be like. The box springs were exposed, the towels were very rough

The size of the room and bathroom was wonderful - hard to find hotel rooms with this amount of spaciousness

The first room we were in the TV did not work, so they put us on the 3rd floor where all the remodel was taking place. The room was huge, but the floor was really dirty. My white socks were pretty bad when I went to go put them on. Just smelled really musty. probably from all the dust from the remodel. Was not really impressed for our first stay. The parking was a little inconvenient because of the location. But we survived.

The front desk guy was great. When we went to check out, there was no one to be found. The first room was beautiful, but the second room they gave us, not so much.

Roomy, clean, quiet, moderately well appointed, great decor, nice location, many nearby restaurants, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, etc.

I believe the staff could be more friendly and when you give towels to your guests (even hand towels) they should not look raggedy

The location is perfect and the hotel seemed better and more cleanly this last time we stayed.

This time, there were some noted repairs: worn carpet meeting the tiled bathroom flooring was a negative impression and unattractive.

First time we stayed here was about a month ago. We returned as it was so great. Loved the staff and holiday decorations and the character. Super location to walk to 'about anywhere in Atascadero Central Business District.

The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive to my needs. Great location downtown with restaurants and bars within walking distance.

No humans around. One woman sitting in a backroom eventually ventured out to check us in. She was not dressed to go to work and it appeared we were interrupting her relaxation. Pleasant enough once we dealt with her, but her training needs improvement to match the quality of the hotel.

Beautiful interior architecture. Everything comfortable and clean. Large room and bathroom. Right off Highway 101. Good brew pub right downstairs for dinner and lovely cafe also right there for breakfast.

Our room had a plumbing issue and they were easily able to get us a new room.

The location is close to Paso Robles wine country and to our family. Is a historic old building that’s beautiful. It has new owners that are planning some renovations. It was very comfortable.

New owners are in the process of upgrading and starting renovations so hopefully it will be more comfortable and cleaner for the price

Mainly just the lake of breakfast in the morning. There is really nothing close by for breakfast unless a bakery item will do it for you.

Very nice clean facility. We wish they had at least a light breakfast included, that would have made it perfect. They could also have microwaves in the room which would help. Very nice hotel though and we would stay again even knowing the things they don't offer.

Weird to not have water and coffee service in the lobby, as that is a nice touch at most other hotels. But the worst thing was the price! So expensive for this otherwise blue collar, no frills town. The price point would stop us from coming back…

Bizarre place. It was clearly luxurious once, now it’s nice, opulent, but kind of a shell. Even though there are people there it feels empty.

It’s different than most hotels. No polished corporate feel, unique place, lovely people.
