I booked the room with a balcony. There was not a balcony. Some more easy-fix maintenance is needed. What I did not like most was that I canceled my room (1,112.93) on 12/19/23, and I did not get a refund for it as of today (1/26/24). Booking.com did not help resolve this problem as promised by the CS. After I canceled the previous room, I booked another, different room and the room for my son's family instead. That is why I canceled the first room on time (two days before the deadline). I had to call my CC to dispute the charge. The refund should occur automatically without begging for it.

This is my fourth visit. Quiet - that is what I like. No housekeeping to interrupt my stay during the day. Good parking lot. All very secure and safe.

This was our ninth Thanksgiving on the Sandestin property, staying in different places. Evidently, we enjoy the setting. Bay Club included.

Location was central to many activities. Pretty views as we were high enough. Easy check in.

We were disappointed that there was very limited availability to on-site dining and the tiki bar was closed.

There was a problem with our room. No one let us know. We got there to check-in and we're told we couldn't due to a broken toilet and they had no idea when we would be able to. We were 14 hours from home and a truck full of stuff and 2 kids who were hot and tired. It was pretty stressful but we finally got in.

Loved the resort. Would stay again if ever had the chance. Lots of amenities, beautiful, spacious and clean.

The only thing that could be improved is the checkout time…10 am is not desirable…many other places let you checkout at 11 or 12. Considering that you cant check in until 4pm, having to leave at 10am is not even close to a full 24 hours for one night and more like 36 hrs for 2 nights.

THERE WERE TRUCKS BACKING UP BEHIND THE BUILDING EARLY IN THE MORNING AND WHEN THEY WERE BACKING THEY HAD WARNING BEEPERS GOING OFF.

There was no staff after 5 pm. We couldn't rent a golf cart. It took 45 minutes to get back to room on shuttle from the beach.

It was a nice room. The grounds were beautiful. The pool was nice.

Checking in “after lobby hours” at 7 PM was a nightmare. I called twice the day before check in to let them know what time we would be arriving and to best understand the after hours check in process. During both calls, front desk workers said that our key codes and information would be at the security gate/check point for Sandestin. When we arrived, none of the security personnel had our name on their list. There was no one from Bay Club/VRI that we could get ahold of. The check in process took about two hours for security to finally find what we needed to get into our lockbox/room. *Recommendation for VRI: Just message the lockbox info and code to the person staying on the property or tell them what it is, instead of making it so complicated. It did not need to be that difficult. Otherwise, our stay was fine.
