That there was not a tub. My disabled daughter in unable to shower. I really miss when newly renovated places don’t put in a bathtub.

The blankets, comforter and pillows were soft and inviting! The bed was so comfortable.

The AC unit was very loud, but surprisingly didn't keep us awake (probably due to all the walking and fresh air we got).

I like the value and the location was just a little over 10 minute walk to catch the boat to Mackinac Island.

Some of the furniture was a bit worn and there was some rust around the sink caulk, these were only minor issues and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Staff was very friendly and room was clean. The staff were all warm and welcoming, and the location is fantastic — just a short walk to the ferry and nearby shops. We’d definitely stay here again!

The ferry 3 minutes walk was for the CLASSIC ferry, the fast ferry dock was almost a mile away, and I did not know this until my 2nd day there. Sheplers shuttle was very efficient, I just wished that I had known day one. Was a bit confusing for a first-timer.

The facility is in need of maintenance. Aesthetically it is very nice, functionally not so much. The bathtub held water in the bottom while showering and had a non slip mat that was peeling off. For the price we would stay again.

The TV didn’t work for us for whatever reason but it’s OK we’re tired so we didn’t use it. The shower pressure was pretty good, but it was cold and hot and not warm water. I have to take a really cold shower and I would get hot water in little bursts and it definitely woke me up. Also I left like at 9 AM from the hotel so the lady should give a common courtesy to let the person know that there’s no one in the hotel in the morning so if you’re going to check out and leave early make sure you leave your hotel key and curtains open so they know that you checked out. Just so you don’t have to go back-and-forth up and down the stairs.

It was in a good location. If you don’t mind walking 10 min or so to get to the ferry, depending on which ferry you’re taking and on which dock you have to dock from you, can’t save yourself the $10 parking fee. The rooms were pretty big and it has a fridge. The lady was nice that checked us in.

The room was quite chilly when we entered as the rooms are all cooled/heated by a unit underneath the window, which must be manually turned on/off. I feel like if we'd been able to give the staff an ETA, it might have been turned on in advance in anticipation of our arrival, so that was potentially more on us than on the motel in question. And honestly, the room got warm pretty quick, so it was a minor thing!

The location of the motel was superb and check-in times were extremely flexible, which was great due to our having an unknown ETA. The room was semi-sparse, but orderly and tidy - you couldn't ask for more after a long day of driving and wanting to get out of the cold and rain!

The room keys were not keyed for the length of our stay. There was no sign to tell housekeeping to stay out of our room when we did not require room cleaning.

The location was great for getting to the ferry. The water pressure in the shower was awesome!

The room looked very good. It was clean and the beds and bedding were very comfy. The shower was very nice with plenty of hot water. Everything we needed for our nights stay plus there is a wonderful restaurant/bar just down the street that made our night complete. We recommend Bayside Inn and will stay there again when in the area.
