Beds were a little hard for me and we had to pay for parking

Location was outstanding - across street to Santa Monica Beach and short distance to pier. Good jumping off point for going north along highway 1. Dogtown Coffee two blocks away for great coffee, and many good restaurants within walking distance. Room and bathroom were in great condition. Place was quiet. Courtyard was very pleasant.

Needed more coffee pods for waking up - really not a grumble but I do like 2 coffees before I leave for the day. That's really all I could think of for the "What didn't you like" section

Not much to not like - fabulous view from our room to the front. With a little table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun with a wine and cheese. Room good sized for 2 of us in very comfortable queen sized beds.. My friend and I slept so well. Reception staff were both very helpful, and friendly

A bit chilly in the room, the air con/ heater didn't seem to warm up.

Great location, ask staff about parking, you can park a front of hotel for free in exact hours so you don’t need to pay for hotel parking lot.

I was woken on the first night at 2.00am by staff moving large bins of laundry across the yard right outside our room. This was very noisy. Although the room and bathroom had been renovated, the furniture was hadn't and was very tired/ dated.

Very clean, bright room, which had recently been decorated and had a newly renovated bathroom and a very good shower. Although on the small side the bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent and the staff were very good.

Perfectly located for Santa Monica and Venice Beach. A motel style property with "deluxe" rooms. Not the cheapest, but safe and very comfortable. Extra charges for onsite parking

I really can’t think of anything bad about the place. It’s not a 5 star palace, it was a very nice hotel.

Amazing location, steps from the beach, and a great view of the ocean from the hotel. Santa Monica peer was just a short walk. Lots of restaurants in the area. It’s a short bike ride or a cheap Uber to the busier Venice beach. Our room was nice and modern. Very nice bathroom and shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Keurig and pods in the room. Cable tv. Extra pillows on the bed. Beach towels included. Ample closet space to unpack our things. Bike rentals available. Front desk man was very friendly and helpful. Gave us an early check-in, as we arrived on an early flight. Held our luggage for us when we were leaving on a late flight. The area around the hotel was nice. We felt safe there. And access to the rooms and parking was gated with a swipe of the hotel room key. We felt like it was very good value compared to other nice hotels in the area. And it was in the best part of LA, the west side near the beaches.

I wouldn’t stay for like a week, it’s a little too small for that but that’s a personal opinion!

Perfect location, only a 10 minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier and 20 minutes to the promenade with all the shops!

I would say it is more like a motel than a hotel, it is very small, a few floors only, with the reception on the entrance and then the rooms which you can enter from outside.

We loved the location and the possibility to rent the bikes, size of the room was also good, with a bath in the bathroom

Some outside stairs and no service for help to room. But I think they would help if you asked them. Santa Monica have a lot of homeless they need to get that sorted, you don’t fell as safe as you used too. We have been twice before.

Very close to beach and pier. The room was clean and had a good view of the sunset. Staff were very helpful. Also very quiet to say you are so in the busy area. Would recommend the Hotel it was excellent value.
