Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I was right next door to the office so I couldn't have my door or window open without everyone looking in. I could hear walking the room next to us all night keeping me awake.

We were in the handicap unit and the water from the slope of the floor and shower curtain allowed the water to puddle in the bathroom and created a big mess. Only 2 towels provided and they were stiff and scratchy. There was Only one hook in the bathroom to hang towels behind the door. Could use some better lighting.
Cute motel. Very clean. Bed super comfortable with crispy cotton sheets and I am very picky.

No place to sit and eat, thought it came with a kitchenette. No table big enough to hold anything besides a couple phones and drinks. We like to play cards. No place to do that.

Can’t think of anything.
Everything was thoughtful. Bed was comfortable, room very clean, AC easy to manage, delicious breakfast, real in-room coffee. (I would’ve loved real half and half but certainly don’t expect it). Staff were super helpful and friendly. Would stay again and highly recommend.

the outside paint job is a bit garish. but thats not the case in side. if you get cold at night you may want to ask for an extra blanket. of course sofa beds are never comfortable.
it was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. i liked the firepit and rocking chairs. i liked the fact the rooms where on the flat.

The pullout couch is awful. The mattress is so paper thin you can feel every wire and spring. I ended ip just sleeping on the actual couch itself. Maybe placing a small mattress topper would help some.
I love it’s bright colors of the building. The little fire pit area.

Walls were thin and people in next room were noisy and left the TV on until 1:00am and talked loudly. Called office and they couldn’t do anything and I wasn’t going to knock on their door.
Loved the room and the location. Felt like home. Exceptional. I’d definitely go back. Lovely breakfast and pleasant staff.

It’s in a residential neighborhood and some of the neighbors houses aren’t in great shape tbh. The ceiling fan is really low and there was only one wooden chair to sit on.
Nice and quiet, room was small but it had a huge comfy bed, nice fridge and decent coffee maker. Detachable shower head and nice bathroom. Convenient ice machine and couple spots to hang outside and have a smoke (for those inclined). The free breakfast is a plus and it’s only two blocks from Main St.

I would have loved a pool, or hot tub.
The location to shopping, Restaurants, and the The room was wonderful I took my brother who is disabled and we didn’t have to deal with stairs etc. the rooms were updated and very clean. We loved the breakfast delivered to our door!

The room was clean and a very nice size. The renovations and upgrades given to this older hotel brought our room up to date. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and the breakfast was wonderful.

Room and bathroom were super clean. Breakfast is great and brought to your room. Location is great with only 10 minutes walk to the marina and 15 minutes walk to the Morro rock, where you can say hi to a bunch of sea otters :)
