It was super nice - I really liked staying here. I would stay here over anything else in Seward! Nice to kick your feet up in some comfy recliners after a long day of traveling.

Has everything you need! Close (10 min) walk to train station, and 5 min to Safeway. Owners were a delight to work with. Clean, comfy, close to action.

Limited space to hang clothes so make sure you us the coat hanger in the dining/living area. Luggage rack for one suitcase but the sofa served as our second rack. All-in-all a great place to stay in Seward AK if you want comfort, make your own continental breakfast and snacks

The host offers a number of amenities that hotels do not. The kitchenette (no hotplate/stove but very useful), dining area for 4, plus living room that sits 5 were all spacious. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage in the dresser. Bath is cute and snug with shelving for toiletries. A very well-appointed Apartment!

The only thing missing was laundry facilities. This would have been a big help.

Bears Den was a great homebase to explore the Seward area. It is cozy and well kept by attentive landlords. We enjoyed our stay very much. it is located right next to everything you need, including a local grocery store, numerous restaurants, the Sea Life Center, and cafés. The kitchen is well equipped. I would recommend Bear's Den to family and friends traveling to Seward, Alaska.

Very comfortable and charming accommodation with the ‘Bear’ theme throughout. Everything you need for a stay was provided and great location for trains, boat trips from marina and Safeway only a short walk away. Our host Shari went over and above with her hospitality.

Property well located, 10 min to the cruise terminals, quiet street, convenient parking. Smooth checkin and checkout, no time constraints for checkin. Clean room, all amenities exactly as described on the website, all necessary information was provided by the host. Host very friendly and responsive.

There was nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries. We ended up putting them on the dining table.

Close to small boat harbor, restaurants and grocery store. Also close to train depot, where free shuttle picks up. Accessible by convenient pedestrian underpass under highway. Appreciated coffee maker with coffee and filters, as well as gas grill for cooking dinner. Microwave, fridge, dishes and grill tools also provided. View of the harbor was wonderful.

Although we arrived late, the owner’s instructions we have received in advance were enough for a straightforward self-checkin. The property is very close to the harbor, which is the departure point for the cruises.

A little pricey for how small it is, but we booked last minute and it was probably prime time in Seward. For a family of 6, it worked but felt like a cramped hotel room. We would stay again but not with a party of 6.

Close to town, exceptionally clean, friendly and quick to respond staff, convenient, Wi-Fi, fully stocked with everything we needed. Cookies from Shari when we checked in :)

Electric boiler on 2nd storey would have been good. Also would be good if the way to enter the b&b was sent earlier as I didn’t have WiFi on the day itself when the email was sent on how to enter the house.

Great stay. Really liked the decorations around the place, was all Alaska themed and the owners put A lot of effort into making the house comfortable. I liked that there was Netflix.

Bathroom is a bit small. Could use hooks on back of door for hanging robe or extra towel. Also, hard to reach the toilet paper. Would be nice if TP holder was installed on wall to the left of the toilet.

Although not out of line with the prices of competitors in the area, the unit seemed somewhat expensive.

We liked that this was really close to the cruise departure location. Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Cookies upon arrival.

The only reason for good versus excellent overall rating was that my husband would have liked to have had a closet to be able to hang a few more items than available on the wall coat rack. He also thought having more than one folding luggage rack would have been helpful so he didn't have to place his luggage on the bed or the floor. I had used the only luggage rack for my suitcase. A second one could be folded and easily stored under the queen size bed if not needed.

The Bears Den Alaska lodging location was great and having the ability to park our vehicle right outside our entry door was also nice. The property and Den 2 itself were clean and well kept.
