Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great Hotel just renovated the rooms. Great Bathroom, nice and spacious room. Awesome Bed! Breakfast was good with scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, Bacon, Bagles, Cereals, waffles and nice Coffee- Machine for all kings of coffee (Latte macchiato, Chocolate and so on) I just loved the breakfast.

Walls very thin. 2 night stay and both nights kept awake by noisy and inconsiderate guests. Felt exhausted instead of rested which was a shame because otherwise it was a lovely hotel . The staff could make a notice for people to be considerate of others especially in the early hours.

No bath tub but that’s ok
The room was clean and spacious. We had a king. There was a fridge and walk in shower. The breakfast had many items to choose from. 20 min walk to the aquarium and shopping

The gym doesn't have a lot to offer.
The location was ideal for us (near both the downtown and the beach). When we stayed at the same hotel a few years ago, the decor was very tired but it's largely been redecorated and that's a big improvement.

We arrived earlier, the room was already ready, we still need to wait one more hour to check in. We booked two nights, and asked for stay one more night directly by the front desk, we had to pay 10 Dollars more. Normally in other hotels , in such case the guest get a discount

The noise during remodel and the young man at the counter was not very friendly.
Location for us was terrific. The room was clean and well maintained. Quite enough for the busy location and very close to the beach and attractions.

the room was sprayed with something similar to Febreze which i do not like. Perfumed smells irritate my sinuses. The first night i thought it was the soap used to wash the sheets and pillowcases. In the morning i asked the staff if they could do something about it such as re-wash the sheets. They could not since the laundry was sent out. the next night the sheets did not smell with the perfume but i believe the cleaning person sprayed the air conditioning unit with the same and the scent was everywhere in the room.
The staff was friendly and the room clean. loved the location next to the long beach taco company. great tacos!

The price felt high for the area and for Best Western. Perhaps this was because of the conference that was in town, increasing the demand for hotel rooms.
I was in town for a conference at the Long Beach Convention Center. The location was perfect for being by my coworkers who were at the Westin. I felt safe walking around traveling alone (I walked to the actual Long Beach beach every morning). I also discovered a few great local places on the same block as the hotel - a poke place, and a crepe place. Definitely check out the crepe place, it was epic! The hotel was clean, quiet, and breakfast was awesome with french toast sticks! This was also close to the outlets at Pike street - I saw a movie at the cinemas there.
