One night stay without any issues, although the WiFi was quite slow. Stayed here specifically for the Tesla destination charger; Carlsbad Caverns doesn’t really have any Superchargers to comfortably do a round trip from, especially when winds may be high.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for the first night during our recent month-long trip to visit 9 national parks. The room was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

Due to the hotel being new, the road to the parking lot wasn't completed. We had to enter on a dirt road full of potholes.

When you come off the busy main road (highway 67) you have to turn onto an unmarked gravel road (Post Lane) which you can easily miss at night if you are not paying close attention. It also crosses a railroad track which can block entry or exit if a train is stopped on the track. ( This happened to us but fortunately the train moved along after few minutes). You can exit via a rear parking lot exit which takes you through a pretty sketchy looking neighborhood. I didn’t ask why the road to the hotel wasn’t paved so there could be a fix in the future

The property overall was great. It was a relatively new hotel. The room we paid for was spacious (King bed/kitchenette area/private bathroom) and clean upon check-in. The bed was very comfortable, the television worked fine and the kitchenette was stocked with plates, silverware and utensils if needed. The bathroom had body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers mounted to the wall which was convenient. The only thing that I took issue with was the towels which were white but had a few spots of discoloration which I take to mean that either hotter water or more bleach is needed when cleaning them. discovered a few long hairs inside a bath towel that appeared to have made it through the wash and fold. The breakfast was great and had a bit of variety. Coffee, cereal, yogurt, muffins, danishes, toast, bagels, scrambled eggs (sausage patties or bacon. Breakfast potatoes- depending on the day) and pancakes made via an automated machine. All good stuff. They only needed a waffle maker and it would have been out of the ballpark! The staff was great! Very courteous and friendly!!!

The new location is not the easiest to get to your first time. From the main street you turn on an unfinished gravel road or have to go quite far around a fee blocks to take the finished road in. Some minor cosmic issues for being so new. Grout cracking, tp holders upside down (which staff was aware of). Probably sounds like nothing but ehen the tp falls to floor every time you go to use it gets old.

Staff was friendly. Accommodations are very new. Very nice outdoor patio area with fireplace and grills to hang out. Breakfast area is very nice, but brefast was overcooked both days we were there.

Our second night there was a strong smell of marijuana coming in from our bathroom at about 8:00pm. We reported it to the front desk but the room smelt the entire night and next morning. This was less than ideal while traveling with small children.

Staff were friendly, breakfast offerings were good. Pool was good for the kids.
