we seemed to be the only occupied room on the floor. we were in room 501. it would have been cool to have a better view out our window - but it assume it’s all based on room rates.

EVERYTHING just great!! Graduation weekend at University of Wisconsin, the hotel and the staff didn't miss a beat! Plus, you are right across from the Capital, close to restaurants and to the school, Farmer's Market on Saturday right outside the hotel etc. etc.

The pool was freezing which was disappointing for me and my son. No jacuzzi which was disappointing considering there is so much space next to the pool. Water pressure in shower was so low. There was a high pitched noise (sounded like it was coming from the pipes) which was irritating when we were in our room. No breakfast offered. Coffee and granola bars and muffins were nice but I’m used to a better breakfast when staying at Best Western.

Location was great. Friendly staff. Large pool (although very cold), clean room with fridge abs microwave was a plus. Modern decor.

My daughter picked us up with her car and she asked the valet guy how much to park and run up to the room and the kid told her $4.00, when we came down to leave and pay the older gentlemen running the valet scolded her and asked her why she hadn't given them the keys to her vehicle and she explained that the younger kid didn't ask her to and then he proceeded to tell her a higher amount to park the car there (for 10 minutes max it was there) and refused to let her leave without paying for it. I was on crutches so couldn't really get out to argue with him that easily so we paid the higher price but found it quite unacceptable that since the younger gentlemen quoted us that that as Paying guests he nickel-ed and dimed us for an extra 10.00. Also: the staff was great in the restaurant but it was only two ladies and alot of customers they struggled to keep up and I felt bad for them!

great room! I would suggest an extra pillow for the fold out couch as we like 4 pillows (2 each) in master and we needed to give our son one for the roll out bed Great views in the room It was clean for the most part (roll out bed had remnants of the prior GUESTS snacks in it.

This is the best location in Madison! Right on Capital Square within walking distance to restaurants, State Street and the Monona Terrace. Super clean and updated rooms. Easy valet parking.

My husband went to the website for the hotel itself and found the same room for $180. He called the hotel and was told that they were entirely booked. He could cancel with booking.com and then re-book directly with them but he might then loose the room in between canceling with booking.com and re-booking with the hotel directly. We were not offered any discount. During our stay we saw many rooms with a cleanliness label taped across the door job of rooms that were not occupied. Jessica was the staff member that my husband spoke with about getting the $180 rate. We do not feel that Jessica was honest with us and could have given us the $180 rate.

bed was very comfortable - no view except the air conditioning units on the second floor even though rooms were available with a much nicer view
