I didn't have what I didn't like about the hotel

Lots of staff members smoking. There was a smoking section in the parking lot. But it was out front across from main entrance to hotel, and right where everyone drives past the hotel lobby. My room had the misfortune of being in front of building on the 1st floor. So I saw lots of employees smoking. LOTS. And walking past that to use the pool? Not ideal. Would be best to move that area around to the back of the main building perhaps? The pool towels were small, but that was ok. What was discouraging was the need to keep walking to lobby to ask for some. I was in my room for 4 days and it wasn't serviced. I had to walk to lobby to ask for clean towels and t-paper. The breakfast options, I understand it suits the grab and go culture of the area. However, for the price of stay was expecting perhaps eggs with a protein option.

The staff always had a nice greeting when I saw them. Mattress, sheets, pillows were all very nice. Breakfast options provided were always fresh and area was clean. Coffee and tea bar was always well stocked, clean and fresh. Location was easy to find and easy to enter and exit of main hwy. Front entrance was clearly marked and had easy access to parking. Parking was easy with plenty of spots. Pool was clean and accessible.

check in was very slow. I booked two separate rooms and they don't provide the option to split the payment so I had to pay for both the rooms from my card. THey also mislead you with what is for breakfast here. Booking.com says there is a full, hot breakfast served, but that's incorrect, it is just the "bagel bar"

The hotel is in a fantastic location. it is about 12 minute drive to the Joshua Tree visitor center. The room was very big, with AC that you could customize, and a huge bathroom with a bathtub. Breakfast was sufficient, I had a bagel with butter and jelly, my friends had a bagel with cream cheese.

When we booked it stated hot breakfast was included but when we checked in, we were told there is no hot breakfast just a bagel bar. We may not have chosen this hotel to stay here if we knew the breakfast situation.

It was clean and the the room was large. Staff was friendly.

Was not aware that the hotel was being refurbished. The lobby was screened off with plastic (new door/painting). Limited breakfast area. And nearly all the windows were covered in plastic sheeting due to painting of external render.

The bedroom had been recently refurbished. Large room. Very clean.

There were renovation works on the first floor, but it wasn't noisy or annoying

The room was clean and spacious. AC unit not too loud and the view was very pretty. Breakfast included and pet friendly.

We presented a different credit card to pay for the room on arrival, and the booking.com credit card info was used instead. Resulting in a major overdraft in my bank account

I think the room floors would be better if the carpet is removed, it would be cleaner. The carpets look old and stained giving a bad aspect although the room was clean.

The front desk staff was really helpful. I didn't have a physical card to make the pet fee payment, and she did really do beyond her job to help.me with that

While the hotel lobby and hallway seemed to be updated and fresh smelling, our room smelled very musty upon arrival. room 208 Could have been due to older carpets. Fortunately, we could open the 2nd story window a bit and turn on the fan to keep the smell to a minimum.

We liked the spaciousness of the room. Brenda Castillo was excellent at the front desk. While food at the breakfast area was skim it gave you the basics needed and was kept clean.

The only thing we did not really like, was that we were on the bottom floor, room 107, and it made me a little nervous having the walkway on the other side of the window, with no gates, allowing anyone to just walk along there. Other than that, everything else was great.

the room was very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The breakfast had choices and was tasty, only complaint was that the sausages were a little salty, but not too salty that I didnt eat any!!! The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. I dont know if it was the time of the year we were there but it was pretty quiet, which is nice.

Strong chemical odor in room. 2 different lights were not working in the room making it dimly lit.
