Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI think for the place that is the stay was great since we already know that is a small place . Lancaster was not far just 15 min by car and that is a bigger place. all food was organic and people were very nice and kind.
Stuff was excellent. the place is near a Amish market which is incredible items to buy. The place also is near all the attractions. The price of restaurants is very affordable and taste is great what we tried.

Great location and atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and will return when I have business in Bird n Hand area. Great facility and I would recommend to anyone especially couples looking for peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Great escape facility.

United StatesWe were not aware that we needed to specify that we had mobility issues and required a room with few stairs. We should have booked directly with the property.
The property is attractive. The included tour of the Amish countryside was wonderful. The staff was exceptional.

United StatesThe Inn's rooms are not numbered by floor. Both my wife and I are disabled and we made the mistake of assuming our room, number 111 was on the ground floor, in actuality our room was on the Third floor. And since this Inn is located within 3 separate, historic houses, amenities like elevators in our building do not exist. In the future, we will call after booking to make sure our room is more suitable to our needs. Lastly, and this might be considered nitpicking, but our shower would make, on and off, high pitched squealing noises, while showering.
Definitely a throwback to a bygone era. The Inn itself is spread out over 3 different houses. The room was outstanding for size and comfort. The Inn's main building, had a Gathering room, behind the Main lobby, which had the ice machine as well as free soda, water, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. The room also had a small area with a laptop and printer. The Main lobby adjoining the Gathering room is where the Front desk is located with an actual guest book to sign. Check-in is performed with a computer like any other modern hotel. The Front desk had a generous selection of small snacks including fresh baked cookies. The Front desk also had a current copy of the local newspaper, Tourist books for the greater Lancaster area. A small concierge in the lobby is also where the Check-in takes place. Both the snacks/cookies and drinks were available 24/7, and always kept well stocked, during the hours that staff are present. Housekeeping is fast and efficient. And if you forget toiletries they can supply those as well.

United StatesThe only negative aspect of our stay, was the room that we booked, unbeknownst to us, was on the third floor. Considering the fact that there were no other guests at the time of our stay, we were curious as to why we were placed on the third floor. In the end, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be, and we managed.
It is a beautiful B & B in a nice area. Very close to all the shopping etc. Very Hospitable, although we never really got to meet any of the owners/staff. They have a quaint room on the first floor, with a coffee/tea bar and snacks, which was a nice treat after a day on the town.
