The chain lock on the door was broken so there was no extra security if someone had a key. So being a solo female traveler I was a little less comfortable without the extra lock.

The Blarney Inn is an old style motel. However the owner has remodelled the rooms and takes great pride in the presentation of each room. So much thought has gone into the comfort of the guest, things like individual lights near the bed with easy access switches, updated power outlets with recharging points included, modern tv, comfortable bed etc

Bed was a bit hard. Ice machine out of order.

So inexpensive, and the owners were sweet and lovely. I was glad to have a place to do my laundry after several days on the road.

Get dinner before you arrive, Shamrock closes early , and many of the restaurants listed on Yelp are permanently closed. Otherwise, McDonalds, Taco Bell or Subway are your choices.

Exceptionally clean, a comfortable bed, and peace and quiet. An exceptional value!

The one thing I would like to see is a vending machine for drinks and snacks.

Easy to access location. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean, has the essentials and was bug free.

The heat/ac was not running when we checked in and took a while to get the large room to a comfortable temperature. The woman at the desk did warn me about the time it would take but it still wasn't ideal with small children on a chilly night.

The room was huge! Lots of space for the kids to play after being in the car for hours. Beds were fairly comfortable and the room and bathroom were both very clean. Night check in was easy and the woman who helped me was very polite.

Rooms are small but that's typical of Route 66 hotels and to be expected.

Nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable with just enough updates to make it fully functional. Loved the walk-in shower. Owner operators were very pleasant and accommodating. For the money, this place can't be beat for a restful stay on the road!

I stayed here three weeks ago and had a great time so I can back on my next visit to the area. My comments from the last review are the same. Great low-priced motel with clean and comfortable rooms. Even stayed in the same room I was in three weeks ago. Parking at front door - an increasing rarity of hotels and motels today. Would recommend this place.

Lights outside the room were left on the whole night which resulted in bugs crawling in the room and under the door.

It would have been nice if the keys had been ready when we arrived.

I liked the price. It was clean. We rented 5 rooms on the way home from our family vacation in UT. We were tired and slept good. No one complained about the lack of updated decor.

Room was clean and comfortable - beyond my expectations for this price!! I've stayed at more expensive hotels and motels not this clean. Good wi-fi connection - have had hotels with either non-working connections or type of connections incompatible with my laptop. Very good value for the price. I will stay here again!!!

Room wasn’t very large but certainly sufficient for a night. But our air conditioning unit was older (in rear wall) and very noisy & annoying. Wanted to be able to open a window but couldn’t alas.

Nostalgic motel right on an existing piece of Route 66. Just a couple of blocks from the iconic Tower Conoco and U-Drop Inn in Shamrock. Basic (somewhat "bare bones" compared to today's highrise chain hotels)1950s motel, but a great friendly place to stay overnight on Route 66 and get a feel for how travel was done pre-interstate.
