We loved the cozy feel and the smart use of a small space. The courtyard was a great place to unwind and let the kids roam without watching for cars and the grounds are kept neat and tidy. The neighborhood itself was quiet at night and reserved parking spots were appreciated. The bonus items in the storage areas including beach toys were a hit as was the walking proximity to the beach. I would love to come back with my parents and in-laws!

So leaving was the thing I disliked the most. I could complain about all the sand my dog brought to the car but seriously we had such a great time. The worst part of the stay was not having longer to stay. Nothing could have made our stay better.

Everything! I hated to leave. When we arrived the local on site manager was there and assisted me in getting the key as it was our first time. It was nice knowing that if we needed anything he was around. The area was quiet as described and close to the beach. I would say that we both enjoyed our stay, my dog was worn out everyday from all the fun she had. The local eateries we tried were outstanding! The people were wonderful! I have no complaints. Already booked for next year.

Did not like the “Black lives matter, etc etc” signs on the property. Keep politics out of it because you end up pissing off half of your customers.

Getting the TV to work was a bit clumsy, you need your own service password or something. Didnt matter; was too busy going outside anyways.

had specific parking spaces for each cabin, which was great since the streets were packed already. Tons of lighting and security cameras were present also. There's a huge area in the middle for BBQ and relaxing and grass for the pet run, even a bunch of towels to use for the beach and a Washer/dryer set to use.

Loved the inner courtyard where our dog could play. Lots of other friendly dogs were staying as well. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Nice short walk to the ocean. Will certainly come back!

Nothing that we disliked. Only an idea: I think guests would really appreciate having shampoo/soap in the apartment. Not a big deal, but it would be a big plus!!

Loved the location, assigned parking spot. Everything was spotless/clean. Austen was super nice and gave us recommendations about the area. It’s a dog friendly property and there’s lots of space for pups to run around. We had a great experience at Blue Heron Cottages and would love to come back!

Water filter pitcher was not clean. WiFi was very busy and some delays at times.

The cottage is clean, quiet neighborhood, staff and management available and friendly. Really appreciated full kitchen and separate living room from bedroom. the patio area was peaceful, pretty and relaxing! 20 minutes from all main attractions in San Diego. dog friendly too!

Even though we did not bring a pet, we had to smell the strong dog smell on the sheets that were in basket for dogs/couch. Bathroom was very dusty/dirty. Had to clean. COLD

Since pets are welcome here, I would suggest that dog owners get a better handle on their pups. I love dogs, and am not frightened by them, but if a dog is barking and acting aggressively toward another guest, then the owner is missing the mark. This happened to me, and it was not a big deal, but there is a better way to control your pets.

Great, clean, and quiet location. The property is well maintained, and I had nice interactions with the manager and some of the other guests. Two blocks from the ocean is a major plus, and the cottage is nicely furnished.

Beach was 2 blocks away and they provided EVERYTHING beach chairs, ice chest, wagon, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, surf boards etc. you name they have it at no extra charge
